The Phoenix Rises

Serenity could only watch as her ally was beaten mercilessly and savagely by the gargantuan menace. Her anger and sadness grew more and more, but she didn't fully understand why. She had just met this person and now she was this angry that he was being brutalized? It jumped and slammed its knee into his stomach, which knocked him down onto his back. It grabbed him by the throat and slammed a hook punch across his jaw. He was about to fall down, but he was met with a headbutt to his nose. He staggered backwards and the pained screams he was letting out after each strike made Serenity even more angry with each one.

"N-no... stop...!" She could barely see or hear thanks to her rage "Enough! I'm ending this now!"

"Serenity, calm down!" She stopped when she realized that it was Affin telling her this "I can do this... a little longer... just pull that damn power ou-"

He was suddenly thrown through a bunch of mountains and the entire forest. It jumped toward him and grabbed his face, then slammed it through the ground, and into the lava below. It held his head under for about ten seconds while growling. Those in the stands couldn't even see what was going on anymore as the cloud of dust and smoke was too thick to see through. Suddenly, Affin's nearly lifeless body was thrown up into the air. The people in the stands watched as he broke through the cloud and fell upward. The moment he was about to come down, a gigantic volley of energy beams shot up into his body. Serenity was horrified and absolutely enraged at the uncaring ruthlessness the monster showed toward its opponents. The blasts just seemed to keep going and going, making everyone wonder if this thing just had an endless supply of energy to do whatever it wished with. Serenity stopped charging her energy and she just watched in horror at what was happening to Affin. It finally stopped the barrage and he fell out of the air. The monster caught it on his fist, nearly breaking Affin's spin in half. It let out a roar and held him high above his head while giving Serenity just stared at them motionless.

She looked into Affin's eyes, and seeing them lifeless caused something to break inside of her. Serenity fell to one knee and held her head with one hand while she punched the ground. When her fist made contact with the ground, a bunch of sparks flew. She snarled, fire beginning to fall from her mouth as she let out enraged breaths. She closed her eyes tightly while she continued to breathe fire from her anger. She stood up and opened her eyes while screaming up into the air. A gigantic tsunami of fire exploded out from her, setting the entire arena on fire for a split second!

Once the fire dissipated, everyone could see Serenity... but she looked much different. The muscles on her exposed arms and the legs that were shown through her torn pants were far more defined. Her fists were clenched tightly and her veins seemed to be glowing inside her body. Her body was surrounded by a white and orange fire, which seemed to be avoiding making contact with her. It was almost as if the flames had gained a fear of the newly empowered girl. Her eyes were closed and her skin was illuminated by the flames... in her hair? Yes, he hair had been transformed into a flame burning down her back. It was similar to Ashley's hair, but more wild and aggressive. When she opened her eyes, there was fire in her pupils and a sense of aggression that hadn't been seen in her before. She cracked her neck and glared up at the monster, looking it directly in the eyes without any fear whatsoever, only anger and malice.

"You're nothing but a monster," She told it, with her voice lower and more menacing than it had ever been, which seemed to enrage it as it dropped Affin to the ground "So... if you're done bullying Affin..." She outstretched her hand and curled her fingers twice, beckoning it over, which it met with a punch to her stomach... which did absolutely nothing, even though the shockwave destroyed the mountain that had formed behind her from the battle "Hmph, unimpressed." She grabbed its hand and pushed it away "I suppose I should hit you back." She jumped up and slammed her foot against its stomach, sending the monster flying backwards!
