Multiversal Tournament

Battle of Aether

After having declined the attendant's second invitation to the tournament, the being decided to take more drastic measures. They had been sending wave after wave of soldiers. Aether's warriors had been trying to hold them back, but they were starting to grow in numbers. The next wave was coming and the group knew that this would be the last of them, one way or another.
The group all charged toward the barricade and Kaira and Ashley used their powers to destroy the wall. It was time for them to take their final stand, or be destroyed trying. The enforcements looked at the shattered barrier and Ashley led the group. Ashley stabbed one of them in the throat, then spun, and chopped one of their feet off. She got up and Serenity ran past her, using her scythe to block a sword from one of the soldiers. She spun around and swung the tip of her weapon into the soldier's temple. She swung the soldier off of her her weapon and looked to her right. A soldier jumped and swung his ax down at Wither Knight, but he just grabbed the weapon. The two nodded to each other and ran in separate directions. Kaira joined Serenity, pulling his sword out of the sheathe on his back. Serenity jumped and swung her weapon at another solider, who blocked with his staff. Serenity spun around and cleaved the soldier in half with her massive blade. Another soldier jumped at Serenity, but she just swung her weapon through the sword woman's side. She threw the woman to the side and Kaira ran past her, cutting a spearman's head in half diagonally. The two turned and looked at each other Serenity nodding before running off again. Kaira sighed and looked out at the rest of the soldiers, then walked toward them. Sora shot a soldier in the eye, half blinding her, then Neala used her sonic boom staff to spatter the soldier against a wall. She swung around and knocked out another soldier, then Sora shot another archer in the chest twice. Neala looked up at where the arrows were coming from and saw Sora shoot two arrows at once toward two separate targets. As another soldier ran toward her, she pulled out another arrow, and fired at the soldier Kaira was fighting. She looked up and was about to fire into her soldier's head, but an ice shard stabbed through him first. He fell to the ground and Sora looked up, seeing Tristen on another roof. Ashley melted three more soldiers before spinning her spear in her hand. She held the tip against the ground and called everyone to her.
"Our goal is to protect the people from this final wave. Kaira, I need you to get anyone out here somewhere safe. Serenity, find anyone else who's willing to fight. Everyone else... it's time we take our final stand for our home!"
A squadron of the soldiers were running down the stairs into the city, but at the bottom, a bolt of lightning struck the ground. Herobrine appeared and grinned up at them before unsheathing his sword from his side. He put his left arm behind his back as he swung his sword through another soldier. He jumped, kicking a spearman in the side of the head. The moment he landed, he swung through two soldiers who thought they could sneak up on him. He took his hand out from behind his back and grabbed an axeman by the throat. He struggled against Herobrine's grip as the white eyed god swung horizontally through his torso. He dropped the body and put his hand behind his back at he blocked a stab to his head. He knocked the sword out of the woman's hand, then stabbed her through the throat. He looked past her and saw more soldiers charging at him, so without taking his sword back, he shot an electrical current through every soldier he could see, alive or dead. Any who were hit with it were charred to death.
Herobrine took his blade out of the soldiers, wiped their blood off of it, and said "Sorry about that. Just haven't gotten a chance to do that in a few years."
A young girl ran through the battle as the warriors fought off the invading soldiers. Kaira spun around and singed a swordsman with a fire blast. The girl ran past the group fighting Kaira, hoping that her house was safer. This was not the case, as she saw more fighting everywhere. Ashley was fighting a spearman with a shield in his left hand. The girl stopped at the foot of her house, looking out at the carnage unfolding on her home. She took a few deep breaths before looking out at the battle. Burning wreckage filled her view, and she knew nothing would ever make things the same as they were before. Ashley was still fighting that spear and shield man, although she had broken many hole in the shield. Tristen ws fighting with an axeman, throwing up ice shields every now and then. Finally, Ashley managed to beat her opponent. She looked back at Serenity, and decided to help the girl out. She grabbed the weapon of her fallen foe, then threw it into Serenity's opponent. The girl's accuracy was dead on, and she threw it right into the attacker's ear. He fell to the ground and Ashley ran to help someone else. Kaira was managing to fight off everyone who was coming at him now. Since he needed some warming up, a few people had managed to get a hit in. Now though, he was untouchable. He elbowed someone off of the roof he was fighting on, then he turned around.
He jumped down and asked "What are you doing out here? Come on! Get back inside!" She nodded and ran into the house, to which he closed the door.
Serenity flew into another house when she saw it was undamaged and had weapons. She kicked the door down and two people inside grabbed a few of the weapons. Serenity looked between them, and then put her scythe on her back.
"Come on!" She called to them "Join us, and fight for your home!" The two looked at one another, then nodded, and ran out with the girl.
They ran in different directions and Serenity encountered another few soldiers. She spun, taking her scythe off of her back, and set the blade on fire. She pulled it back and thrust the weapon forward, knocking a soldier on her back. Serenity swung the tip into her head and killed the soldier. She jumped and stabbed another soldier through the top of the head again. She ran toward the next group of soldiers, then jumped, spun, and attacked them again. She spun around in a circle and blocked all of their weapons. She jumped, spun, and slashed through all of them with one quick swing.
A few blocks away, Wither Knight was deal with a group of his own. He jumped and slammed his fists down on the road, sending a small shockwave through the intersection. Soldiers went flying backwards and crashed through buildings. Another group were charging at him and he cracked his neck. The group ran at him and with one hook punch, he knocked most of them aside. The one who didn't get thrown was picked up by the throat. He got thrown into another soldier, both of them falling off of a roof.
At the edge of the city, Ashley melted a few more soldiers and someone came out of his house, and told her "We appreciate the protection you people have been giving us... but this won't be enough to hold back the next wave."
"I know," Ashley sighed, putting the butt of her spearto the ground "I think we know what we need to do. We're gonna join that tournament."
"Ever seen me do this!" Kaira threw his sword up into the air, then backflipped, jumped, and kicked the sword into the soldier he was fighting "Probably not." He teleported over to it "You would've dodged it if you had." He tore the weapon out of his last opponent and looked at the next one "You want some?" He ran toward the soldier and blocked a swing down at his head "Seems so." He swung their blades and threw the soldier's sword out of her hand "Bye." He stabbed her through the throat, then threw her into another building, then he took a few breaths.
Wither Knight grabbed an axe and cut through a shield before swinging the axe down into the soldier's head. As he pulled the axe out of the soldier, he dodged a stab from another. He swung the axe and cut the new soldier's head down the middle. Tristen stabbed a soldier through the chest and left her to die, choking on her own blood. Serenity cut a soldier's arm off, then rolled, kicked him twice, and swung the scythe into his ribs. Ashley simply rolled and stabbed a soldier up through the chin and out of his head.
Kaira decided to get a few more kills and go up to one of the bigger house's roofs. A swordsman jumped at him, but he just blocked with his sword. He reached behind him, grabbed his spear off of his back, and stabbed the swordsman through the stomach. He threw him off of the building as he looked up at an archer. He laced an arrow with micro explosives and shot at him, but Kaira rolled out of the way. He got back up and the archer, having run out of arrows, jumped at him. He simply cut through him and went straight for a mace wielder. She tried to attack him, but he simply blocked with his spear. He stabbed her through the head with his sword and kicked her body down.
He looked and saw Ashley stab through a soldier's collar bone. She looked behind her and saw another soldier running at her. She spun around, her hair blinding the soldier before she was stabbed through the eye by Ashley. She looked to her left and saw one more charging toward her. She flipped her spear into her underhand and threw the weapon. The tip of the pointed staff impaled the soldier through her throat.
Kaira teleported back down to her and cut through a soldier, then called "Hey! Ash!" She looked back at him and smiled.
Tristen blocked a strike down at his head, then kicked the swordswoman, and then stabbed her through the chest. Serenity cut through another soldier with her massive scythe. Wither Knight swung his axe and that sent two halves of the person flying in different directions. He got stabbed in the back, but he didn't notice, since he can't feel anything. Kaira stepped forward and stabbed the soldier who had just stabbed his friend. Wither Knight looked down at him and nodded, then they went in separate directions. While Wither Knight walked toward another group, Kaira teleported to a duo. He swung his sword up and stabbed a swordsman through the chest. He threw the body off of his sword and Herobrine teleported to him, cutting through the soldier in front of him. The two nodded to one another, then they looked toward Wither Knight. He brought his weapon down on the last soldier's head. It split in half, then he stomped on the left half of the head.
He looked toward the two and then they looked around. The fighting was over, but the damage was done. Kaira looked back to Ashley, who was breathing heavily. He walked over to his sister and put a hand on her bicep.
"You alright?" He asked "You're breathing hard... but you don't seem tired." She looked down at him, and her eyes told him everything he needed to know "Alright," He sighed, patting her arm before giving her a hug "Let's go get ready."
