The chaos continued all around the arena as the tournament raged on. It had already been a few hours since the battle royale had started and all of the contestants were beginning to show their full power. Explosions rocked the arena as Dread stared down the Rabbit Morphic. The skeleton warlord was unsure of this person's powers, but he knew he could most likely take her on. They glared at one another in a flat plateau that... seemed to have been made while the tournament had already been going on. This arena made no sense to Dread, but that was the least of his concerns.
The morphic got into her battle stance and asked "You're Dreadlord, from the Prime Universe, right?"
"It's just Dread now."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"I don't feel like getting into that. I answered your question, now you tell me who you are."
"No, I'm curious about this whole name change. Would've thought the lord thing is something you would've liked to keep."
"I said I'm not in the mood to get into that."
"Wow, rude."
"Just tell me who the hell you are so I know who I'm about to eliminate."
She scoffed and replied "Well then, I'm Coella from the Morphic Universe. I'm the fastest being in the multiverse, and I'm the one who'll finally put you down."
"Been there, done that. It's not much of a surprise after the third time."
"You are an interesting one. Maybe once i beat you, you'll be open to telling me more about you."
"You aren't beating me, kid. Let's just get this over with." The two got into guards and glared at each other, not noticing Kaira and Ashley hiding a few feet away.
"Huh, who's she?" Kaira asked while they watched the standoff.
"Urgh... should we get over there and help him?" Ashley asked as she supported herself on a rock.
"Nah, I think he's fine." He looked back at her "Plus, Evie's magic doesn't work instantaneously." He poked her rib, which made her grimace, and fall against the rock "You're still getting your strength back. You lost a high amount of blood in whatever fight you had earlier. All we have to do is watch, trust me. Dread just needs to figure this chick out, and he'll be all good."
The two glared at one another, the fighters from dual universes waiting for someone to make the first move. Dread's bones rattled as the wind blew past them and Coella's rabbit ears flapped from the breeze. She narrowed her eyes and he was about to use a strike, but she rushed him first. Before he could move, she punched him in the jaw, and sent him flying backwards. He bounced on the ground and the two siblings watching were shocked. It had taken them ages to land a hit on him an yet she did it with no problem. He touched the place where he was struck and got back up to his feet. She laughed at him as he got back up to his feet with ease.
"So, that confidence of yours wasn't just for show, now was it? You've got some power to back it up."
"I'm so touched you noticed, well then. Ready to try again?"
"It was one shot. I'm more than ready to take you on."
"I'd expect nothing more from an ancient warrior like you. If you had actually been rattled by me landing a single blow, I would've been pretty disappointed."
"I've taken hits stronger than that by children nearly a decade younger than you." He got back into his guard "If that's the peak of your strength, then you're not going to fare all to well."
"Again, just as I expected. Stoic and unwavering, but there is something you should know..." He glared at her, not seeming to care for any of what she had to say "That whole cocky attitude of yours is starting to piss me off!!!"
