After Herobrine got home, Sora and Ashley explained what was going to happen. He was shocked at the fact that the multiverse was going to collide on one battle field. While the two older females were explaining the situation to the god they lived with, Serenity was talking to Kaira.
"What's up with you?" She asked "When we came in you were completely silent. That's not like you."
He sighed and replied "I just... I don't wanna fight anymore."
"I'm... sorry?" She was absolutely astonished "So lemme get this straight. Kaira... one of the most powerful and skilled fighters, one of the most, and I mean no offense by this, one of the most psychopathic fighters I've ever met... doesn't wanna fight?"
"Okay, look. I barely have any, and I mean any memories of anything aside from fighting!" This was the first time he had snapped at her in a long time "At the time, when we were alive, I loved fighting! Hell, I relished every time I got to attack, defend, or do anything in a fight. Now... I have no interest in fighting. We've been dead for years... I've been losing interest in fighting more and more every time I wake up." Serenity was shocked at what Kaira was saying... he was usually so relaxed "I... I just wanna stay in a world without fighting... but I know either we do this, or we die. Sure, there's a chance we die anyway, seeing as what Ash said... but I wanna at least give us all a chance of surviving."
"Kaira... I get what you mean... however, we need to do this. I swear to you, once this whole... when whatever's gonna happen is over, we will stop fighting. Hell, if we lose, we all stop fighting entirely."
Kaira shut his eyes tightly, sighed, and told her "I... I know. I don't wanna admit it, but you're right." She smiled at him "But... if we win, I'm not gonna fight again."
"Alright," She agreed as she kissed him quickly on the cheek again "I can make that work." She wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her cheek against his obsidian hair, causing him to smile "I love you, Kaira."
"I love you too, Seri." The two laid down and went to sleep.Back in the Elemental Universe
"So... that was strange," Cryan said to his brother as the two prepared dinner "What do you think that person meant? I mean, I get that they want us and the children to fight in some tournament, but... Multiverse? That is what I do not understand. How would we get to the other worlds, know the rules to this tournament, or strategize against people whom we have no clue as to what their powers or abilities are."
"Cryan, we just need to get ready for it. We've fought godly beings before, hell, my girlfriend is a goddess."
"I suppose that is fair," Cryan admitted "I just feel that something may be amiss. We just got rid of Shadow and now all of this is breaking lose? Something here does not add up."
"I think you're just trying to deny that the world may end if we don't do this," Achillean replied to his brother "Did you feel the level of power that left the world when that... whatever it was left? That person had more power than ten... ten Darkness'. We may wanna just... let the boys know. It's probably the best idea since those two are... well they're incredibly strong. Their friends are as well, lest we forget."
"I suppose that would be for the best." He walked away from the dish they were making "Perhaps we should make this fish a little faster." He conjured a dark red fireball in his hand and blasted the fish "Now, get the boys. We have something to discuss."Back in Primal Universe with Lucy and Mark
The two were in a hotel room they had booked because they were still on the road, hunting down the rest of the Dark Web. The two had just been visited by the Attendants as the being called them self. The tournament was beyond them, or at least, that's what they thought, but it appeared that they had been chosen.
"Okay, I'm sorry, but what the hell!?" Mark exclaimed, Lucy looking up at him "Now we gotta deal with some tournament? With other universes? And let's be honest, Kaira, Ashley, and god knows who else are probably gonna be there!? If we lose, then we all die, so I'm freaking the hell out!"
"Mark," Lucy said calmly "Chill. Freaking out about what we can't control won't help anything. All we can really do is prepare. We still have weapons in the back of the truck we stole. If the tournament comes to us, then we'll be ready. That being said though, we don't know what the rules are. We don't know when the tournament will be coming. We have no idea what the rules are gonna be. Something we do know, is that it's most likely gonna be real. We've been dealing with the supernatural... well, you longer than me, but we know this shit can probably happen. All we can do now is prepare."
"I-! Okay, yeah. Yeah, I guess. Okay, maybe we can find that canon thing Tom used to go into his computer."
"Isn't that in New York? We're in Hawaii," She reminded him "That is quite literally, the other side of the country. Also, didn't Noah say it blew up or something, now that I think about it?"
"Oh! Oh, goddammit, Kaira!" Mark exclaimed "Why couldn't you have just ended Dreadlord without blowing that thing to hell?! Fuck!"
"So, I think that options out, and I'm guessing you don't know how to build another?"
Mark was pacing around as he replied "No." He put a hand over his eyes "His dad never told me, or probably anyone about how to build one, and I never found any blueprints for one."
Lucy sighed, a little bit disappointed, but understanding, she said "Alright. We agreed to the tournament, but we're just normal people... so we're probably screwed."
"Lucy, something Noah once told me, is that if you're screwed... fuck it. You gotta go for it, no matter how deep. I think he may have been talking about sex, but you know what I mean."
"Yeah... yeah, I get it. You two were good friends, huh?"
Mark looked at her, smiled, and replied "Yeah, he was the best." He looked at the picture on his bed stand and said "I just wish I could've spent more time with him without all the fighting. Him not being here now, it feels more than just like he's missing, but like a brother's missing."
Lucy hugged him and said "I'm sorry, kid. I wish we could bring him back again, but I don't think we have the resources to bring him back. Also we don't have a way to get his mind back."
"Yeah, I guess that's true," Mark sighed "Alright, I guess we should start preparing for this competition."
