A Prelude to Anarchy

After everyone had finished their fights and... moved Vordus from the street, they all sat in Sora's house. It was bigger than the Heallven house and seemed somewhat safer. When the attendant was sure everyone was present, they took a breath.
"Alright, everyone. Now that I've taken a head count... let us get straight to the important information that you all need to know." They looked out at the group "Now, we all know tournaments are broken up into teams. This one will be no different. In this room, there are actually two teams. The people who are native to this universe..." He looked over to Evie "And the other is the Universe of Realms." They all looked at one another, realizing that they'd have to fight each other "I will explain the rest when we get to the tournament, however I'll tell you that Prokaz, you will be with the Universe of Realms team. You are technically native to that land, and so that is where you must fight to protect."
Prokaz looked at Kaira and grinned, then replied "So... I get to fight Kaira again? Good. We still haven't seen who would really win between us." Kaira looked down at the ground and closed his eyes, smiling.
"Yes, Prokaz, you may get the chance to fight him again. However, there may be complications in fights. But I must continue, so as I said before, the rest of the rules will be explained when we get there-" A loud gong sounded through all of their heads, knocking everyone except for Herobrine, Entity_303, and Dreadlord to the floor, and of course the Attendant stayed where they stood.
"Ah... damn!" Ashley exclaimed "What the hell was that?!" She glared  up at the Attendant.
"That was the signal. We need to leave now. You will not see me for the next day, but I will be watching you to keep any other teams from trying to sabotage any of you. As the rest of us will with our teams. Prokaz, Evie, Candy. You three, along with the rest of your team, will be assigned another Attendant. It was nice to meet you all, even if it was just for this short amount of time." They tapped their staff on the floor twice and they were all engulfed in light "Goodbye, everyone."
Less than a minute later, the light died down. Ashley uncovered her eyes and looked around. The eighteen year old was simultaneously underwhelmed and amazed by what she saw. The sky around them was full of color. Swirling energy filled the sky around them, the beautiful power filling her eyes. They all looked around at where they ended up... and saw... barely anything. There was just a round platform. They saw a bunch more people around them, all confused as to where they were as well. There were people they knew, such as Mark, Noah, Prokaz, and Evie, but the majority of them they had never seen.  There was a round barrier keeping them from exploring their final battle ground. As Kaira reached out and put his biological palm on the glass looking shield, it dissolved into liquid energy. Kaira was startled and jumped back, everyone murmured about what was happening.
As they were all looking around, one of the people with elemental energy in his eyes yelled "I'm sorry! What the hell is that!?" Everyone looked up to where he pointed and saw... something.
"The hell is that?" Herobrine asked Dread.
"I have no god damn idea."
It seemed to be a turtle with a white beard. It was wearing a green robe with golden embroidered symbols on it. One seemed to be a dragon, another a cloud. It wore a golden gauntlet and held a sword made of pure opal.
"Uh... okay," Tristen said, completely lost for words about the being he was looking at "So, uh... what's the deal wi-" The giant turtle suddenly pointed its blade at the sky and a gigantic board appeared in the sky with a crash of... some kind of noise "Ow!" They all looked up "What is tha-"
"This is the list of all of you," An Attendant, yet not the one Kaira and Ashley and everyone else had met, called out "Each of you have been ranked by powers and combative capabilities. Study this and keep it in mind."
Everyone began to look at the board to see where they were. It appeared that the categories were useless, weak, average, strong, powerful, and godlike. It showed the contestants names under their pictures. The names in godly power level read Herobrine, Dreadlord, Emerald Guardian, Shade, Ashley, Jihova, Satan, and Entity_303. In the powerful level, there was Kaira, Serenity, Prokaz, Evie, a bunch of people they didn't know, and Betty. In strong there was Tristen, Noah, and many others they didn't know. As everyone looked up at the board, Kaira began to look around at their surroundings again. It was now a much larger arena with... different areas. There seemed to be a wasteland along the edges, a forest in a chunk, a small abandoned town a few miles away, and other types of areas. He elbowed Serenity in the ribs and she looked back at him.
As they were looking around, the Attendant began to speak again, and said "Now that we've all seen the list, I will transport you all to your houses. For the rest of the day, you will be allowed to do what you want, be it explore the arena, or relax before the fight begins. That is all... good day." They tapped their staff to the platform they stood on and everyone was transported to their houses.

An hour later

Everyone was getting ready for the tournament the next day. Some teams relaxed and saved their energy while others trained hard, trying to push themselves father than they had already. Kaira and Ashley were meditating while Serenity... surprisingly trained with Dreadlord to learn some new moves. Ashley was balancing on her spear, the girl steady on the tip as the realization that her fate was not in control didn't bother her. Shockingly, it was common to the girl, who didn't move from the spear for a long time.
Kaira was roaming around the arena when he found someone else. He knew they weren't supposed to fight yet, and he knew the Attendants were watching them. The person he encountered had orange eyes and burning pupils.
"Uh... hi," Kaira greeted him "What's up?"
"Just tryin' to get a lay of the land," He replied "You're Kaira, right?"
"Yup, you're Adar, right?"
"Yes sir. You feeling good about your chances?"
"It'll depend on who I get pared up against," Kaira replied with a shrug "If I go up against someone like that Shadow dude, then I might be screwed and- oh wait, hold up. You're from his universe, right. Can you tell me anything about him?"
"Oh... oh yeah, I can tell ya about him. He's an... interesting character, but definitely the strongest person I've ever faced off against. Definitely not someone ta screw with. I'd keep that in mind."
"Oh, trust me. I'm probably gonna end up fighting him at least once," Kaira sighed "I tend to gravitate towards people like that." He looked around at the town around them "This place doesn't seem like it was abandoned, does it?"
"No. This was clearly just built to look cool for this arena. No one's ever lived here... at least from what I can tell." Adar looked down at his hand in his pocket, then asked "Hey... you have someone you're fighting for? Family, friends, girl or boyfriend?"
Kaira laughed a little and replied "Uh, yeah. Pretty much all of the above except the boyfriend. My girlfriend and my sister, they're who I'm fighting to protect the most. What about you?"
Yeah, I've got someone, but she's not here, her names-" Kaira's arm suddenly started to vibrate and he looked down.
"Oh, uh... gimme a minute." He raised his forearm up and answered, a holographic screen showing Ashley in her bed next to Tristen "Oh, hey Ash." Adar was curious and moved himself behind Kaira "What's up?"
"Well, apparently we've only got six hours until the tournament begins... so I wanted to get you back to the hou- oh, hi." Kaira looked back and saw Adar "You're that fire guy in the powerful section, right?"
"Uh... ye-yeah..." He was surprised she remembered what he looked like.
"Well, could you tell Kaira to get back here? I want him to get some sleep before we partake in whatever this is." She suddenly cut off the call and Adar looked at Kaira.
"So is that your sister?"
"Yup."
"She's hot."
"Mhm." He looked back at Adar "I'm gonna head back, man." He held his hand out "It was nice getting to meet you, Adar."
He looked down at the metal hand, then grabbed it, and looked up into Kaira's eyes, then replied "Yeah, agreed. Hopefully we could meet again." Kaira smiled at him, then pulled his hand out of his grip.
"Bye, Adar." He teleported away and laid down in bed next to Serenity, feeling her snuggle up to him in her sleep.
