"Don't give up, you got this, you are almost there."
Those are the words I keep telling myself.
And it's crazy, because those same words were used by someone else.
Maybe those words are common,
Maybe they're just used to boost your mental health.
You say them to help drown out the insecurities you are facing,
So you may focus on what you need for yourself.
But jokes on you, I've given up on myself.
All my confidence is gone,
All my hopes and dreams have died long ago,
It just took me some time to realize so.
What will I do, where will I go?
I don't know, but I'm not in a hurry, so I guess I'll just take things slow,
Play things by ear, and try to stay on my toes,
I'm really at my lowest point, so it's not like there's any lower I can go.
"Don't quit, you've got this."
Those damn words keep ringing in my head,
Because I know they belong to forgotten dreams,
But those dreams are better off dead.
