Chapter 9.

It was dark as everyone finishes cleaning up, we all walked in our homes, Adam holding my hand. I smiled as we walked to my bedroom, I opened the door and walked in with Adam. I let his hand go, grabbing my pjs and going to the bathroom, I washed my face and slipped my pjs on, I walked out and saw Adam laying comfy on my bed. I shook my head, crawling onto the bed and covering myself in the soft covers and hugging Adam, his warmth flowing through my body.

We dozed off to sleep, but I snapped my eyes open in the middle of the night, I shot up, I was breathing heavily and I was sweating, I looked at Adam, he was sound asleep. I smiled and moved his hair out his eyes softly, I laid back down, shutting my eyes and falling asleep, I heard a slight voice calling me.

"Alice baby wake up" Adam gently nudges my shoulder, I groaned.

I opened my eyes slowly and rubbed them, I looked up at Adam and smiled, I got up and lazily walked to the bathroom. I took a quick shower and got dressed for school, I put my hair in a messy bun and put on some make-up, I slipped on my shoes and grabbed my bag shoving my things in and throwing it over my shoulder. I've never been a breakfast person, so I skipped it and walked over to Adams car, when I arrived at his car, him and Connor stand there, their arms folded over their chest, leaning against the car.

"So you finally come little sis" Connor smirks and walks over to me, hugging me tight.

I giggled and playfully pushed him, he chuckles and we jumped in the car, racing down the street and into the same car park spot. We all got out the car and walked into the school, I got nervous as we got to the corridor, Adam grabs my hand. I looked at him, he gives me a warming smile, I took a deep breath and slowly walked in, there was so many people, I was about to run but Adam stops me.

He pulls me to his chest and wraps his arms around me as we walked down the corridor, I could hear his heart beat race. Connor was beside me, Adam lets me go, we were where me, Riley and Alicia hung, this is the first time Connors been here.

Connor P.O.V

We get to where my sister and her friends hang, I gotta say it's a really nice place to hang, its quiet and peaceful, the first time I've ever seen this, I've been too busy with my mates. I see Riley and Alicia race over to us, but she smelled something so sweet and wonderful as she got closer, I realized she's my mate.. A human is my mate. I walked over to her and grabbed her wrist, taking her around the corner, I smiled.

"You're my mate" I straight out bursted, she narrows her eyes and lowers her head, what's wrong with her..?

"We can't.. Connor we can't be together I'm sorry" I lifted her chin and made her look at me, I growled.

"Why? What's wrong?" She narrows her eyes and looks away.

"You're my best friends brother, I don't want her to hate me and I don't think she'd like the idea of her best friend and her brother being together" Another growl escapes my lips, scaring her a little, I shook my head and walked away.

Alice stops me and I glared at her, she narrows her eyes, I soften my look and lowered my head.

"What's wrong?" She was worried, I grabbed her wrist, taking her somewhere else.

"I found my mate" I swallowed, not looking at her.

"That's great news why aren't you happy..?" I looked at her and licked my lips.

"Because she's your best friend and she thinks you'll hate her if she went out with me" I felt sad but I didn't show it.

Alice P.O.V

I could see he was sad about it, I'll have a little talk with her. I shook my head and smiled softly, I hugged my brother and looked at him.

"I'll go talk to her" I turned around and walked to Alicia, I grabbed her wrist and took her around the corner.
