Chapter 27.

Adam P.O.V

I waited until Alice had fell asleep, I got out of bed and sneaked to the front door, I almost opened the door, when I heard the lights turn on and saw Connor standing with his arms crossed.

"Where are you going?" He frowns, I looked around and bit my lip.

"I... I'm.. Just.." I stuttered and was interrupted by Connor.

"You were just going to see Catherine and sort things out, don't worry I can read your thoughts, you shouldn't think so loudly" Connor hissed, he was clearly pissed, I could tell.

"Listen Connor, I'm just gonna have a serious talk with her, I promise nothing will happen" I was being dead serious, I know Catherine like the back of my hand and she does tricks but they don't work on me.

"Oh really" Connor tries not to growl, I sighed.

"Yes really, dude you need to stop being so protective of your sister, I mean I know she's your only family and all but she does need to have a bit of free will, don't you think" He glares at me angrily, I sighed and gave up, man this dude is a stubborn guy, I feel sorry for his soulmate.

"What's with all the talking guys, it's 3 a.m in the damn morning" Alice glares at us, she hates being waked up in the morning this early, I heard Connor gulp nervously.

"Uhh... Sorry sis I was just chatting with Adam, please go back to bed" He puts his hands up in surrender and nervously laughs, Alice stood there creepily, her head pops up and her eyes glare, she was the devil.

"Never wake me up again" She says angrily, we both nodded our heads and Alice walks back in the bedroom and shuts the door.

"You, go back to Alice and stay, talk to Catherine later in the day, we need to go, unless of course you want to see a side of Alice you wish you didn't" Connor says but tries to say it calmly, I nodded my head and walked in the bedroom, I laid beside Alice and fell asleep.

Alice P.O.V

The next morning, I woke up and stretched, I've been thinking the whole time, what were they talking about? And what was Adam doing up so late anyway? I'm gonna ask my brother, because I know Adam wouldn't tell me a thing. I got out of bed and took a warm shower, I got dressed and walked out, I saw Adam sitting on the couch with a couple of his friends.

"Hey Connor" I smiled and walked into the kitchen with him.

"What do you want?" He huffs, well don't get moody at me because you didn't sleep well, I rolled my eyes.

"Don't give me that attitude please brother" I scoffed at him, we were both grumpy because we didn't sleep well.

"Don't start with me please, what is it?" He frowns, I sighed and looked down.

"Just needed to know, what were you and Adam doing up so late at night?" I asked curiously, he sighs and walks up to me and puts his hands on my shoulders.

"Don't worry about it, it was nothing you need to be concerned about" He smiles sweetly and walks away, I frowned and clenched my hands into fists, I hate when people kept me in the dark.

"Hey what's wrong?" I heard Adam, his voice snaps me back to earth, I looked at him and sighed.

"Nothing, I'm fine" I faked a smile and tried to pass him but he grabs my arm.

"I know you too well to know you're lying, what's really going on?" He narrows his eyes, I looked at him.

"Tell me what you and Connor were talking about last night? And what happened the night in the club with you and Catherine!" I tried not to demand him to answer me but it ended out in a growl, I was frustrated, I was kept in the dark and that annoys me.
