Your POV

I returned home, as I saw Anya running towards me.

"Father guess what!" I yelped, as he looked at me and turned his head with a questioning look.

"Nee-chan-"

"I have some good news for you!" I said, but then crouched down to match Anya's height. "But you go first."

"PAPA FOUND US A MAMA! AND HE HAS A DATE!" 

I choked on air when I heard that, ZAMN, this man can get his ladies. Loid chuckled from the background.

"Now, Akari what did you want to say?" Loid asked, as he took the groceries from me.

"NUH-UH! LEMME MEET MY NEW MOM," I said, as Anya started to describe how she looked like.

"MAMA HAS BLACK HAIR, AND COOL APPLE EYES!"

"You mean red?"

"YEAH! AND SHE'S STRONG AND AN AS-"

Anya paused, as I gave her a questioning look. 

"AND SHE'S REALLY COOL!" 

"Ok Anya, I would like to know what your sister has to say. Also, Akari, I was looking a bit more indepth on the testing issues for Eden, and the tests will be in a few days. They do this like a few times a year," he informed.

"Ok, I think I'll be fine. Also, while I was shopping, I saw Demetrius Desmond," I said, "And a few other imperial scholars."

Loid almost dropped his knife on the floor, since he was making lunch. 

"Did you make any connections? How does he look like?" he said, as I stepped back.

"Nah, he was busy talking to his other friends, I only knew his name because I bumped into him," I said, leaving off the robbery attempt.

"Ah I see, that's alright. Now, if you want, you can go to your room to prepare for the upcoming exams while I make lunch. Anya, I see you! You have to work too!"

I nodded, walking away to my room. I laid down in my bed as I looked at the ceiling. 

I have to do so much just so the world doesn't know about my true potential and secrets. I thought, sometimes, when I'm alone, I get these thoughts of... what was it like living a normal life? Some life where I can wake up normally with a happy past, no PTSD and having a subtle life. People take over the fact of what they want, since humans are nothing but greedy people always hungry for more. Whether it's food, or shoes. It's honestly amazing itself.

Those diversions I made worked out in the end eh? In the forest, with the hole and trees being broken. Did I need to do that? I guess I did, if not then the Secret Police would have become suspicous of me. I could only do it thanks to the things I learnt back there...

I stopped, remembering about my past back there...some unwanted feelings arose, as it sent shivers down my spine. I took a deep breath in, and out. I need to erase those memories from the past, if I want to look for a better future.

I was able to secure an imperial scholar as well. I bumped into him on purpose and dropped the fruits. With that weird fall formation I made, he thought I was in trouble making him helping me. Garhender did a good job as the gun shooter, along with the other collegues. Although I was holding back severely while fighting Garhender, hopefully it was believable. So once I get into Eden, it should be a piece of cake for information. I thought for a while, Nah, I would have been able to manipulate people other ways anyways. 

WOAH NEE-CHAN HAS ALREADY TAKEN THINGS INTO HER MEASURES! Anya thought, as she listened on to your thinking.

Should I actually try an get full marks on all the entrance exams and pass? Will they give me those stars? I thought, Or should I get the most average marks so I don't draw attention...
