two days later
el was so, so, bored at home. and hop thought it would be best to give max some space, as she only just got home last night. el was- beyond excited to see max again. she couldn't wait.
hopper: hey kid, it's late, get some rest. Oh! and no spying on max tonight. she needs space.
el: mhm! yeah i totally wont..!
hop: goodnight, el.
el: goodnight, dad.
hopper smile and flips the light switch off. he then proceeds to shut the green door, leaving it open 3 inches.
el of course wasnt gonna listen to hopper, max was her best friend. and her crush. she had to check in on her.
eleven leaped off her bed and got a black blindfold off of her dresser. she then flipped through her radio channels until she got to a all staticky channel. she then tied the blindfold around her head and sat down. she pictured max, then opened her eyes.
she was in the void. she saw max in the distance, lying on her bed- asleep. el walked up to her and admired her. "oh, you're so cute." "so pretty."
el said, knowing that max couldn't hear her.
the brunette held the redheads hand, and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "have a good sleep, max" said el before taking off her blindfold.
as soon as el opened her eyes, she saw hopper standing there.
hop: hey kid, what did we talk about.
el: sorry.. i just miss her.
hopper smiles, "it's alright kid. now this time i mean it. get. to. bed."
hopper flips off the radio and leaves the room. el then proceeds to wipe her nose.
el changes into some pyjamas and flops down on her bed.
in the morning
max's pov!
max wakes up due to her telephone ringing like crazy.
max slowly rolls out of bed and makes her way to the phone.
max groans and picks up the phone.
"what." max says, tiredly.
"max! it's me el, you're coming back today? right?"
"yeah, but- do you realize what time it is?" max questions
el: yeah.. sorry, i guess i'm just well.. excited? excited to see you again!
max smiles through the phone.
el: are you getting the bus to school?
max: mhm- but i'm really exhausted, can i please go back to sleep.
max hears el giggle through the phone.
el: of course, but- can we talk, later.
