so sorry for the delay, I forgot to upload this...
max felt safe with el, but when they went back to school on Monday, and when they were hanging out after school she started feeling unsafe, I guess.
well- max knew el would always protect max, friends or not friends.
max is in the party now, and keeping the party safe is els priority.
el stroked the redheads hair.
"I love you." she whispered to the sleeping redhead before eventually falling asleep next to her; forehead to forehead. els hand is still in max's soft, silky, red hair.
the two had a very good day at school, even though its- well... school.
troy didn't bother them today, which shocked them both.
and the whole party.
speaking of parties, mikes sister; Nancy, is having a get together for her 19th birthday. also because christmas is right around the corner.
so its a.... christmas/birthday party.
well, mike is planning it. just like he planned Dustins party.
this time he's actually going to buy alcohol and shit.
surprising that mike would do that.
even for Nancy.
Im pretty sure she doesn't even drink, anymore.
anywho, the two girls slept for awhile-
well, it felt like 20 minutes.
max awoke in a cold sweat, still having that strange feeling.
she sat up and looked around the room, then down at her sleeping girlfriend.
max slid out of the bed and went into el's kitchen.
she opened the cupboard and got out a glass then she filled it up with some tap water.
max chugged the whole thing.
she checked her watch; 9:56pm.
she went back into el's room and slightly giggled at the sight of her girlfriend.
el was laying down taking up pretty much all of the bed.
max gently wrapped her arms around el and laid down at the edge of the bed, trying not to fall off and wake her girlfriend.
"I love you." she whispered softly to the older brunette.
el groaned and moved over in her sleep, allowing max to have both legs on the bed.

"hey, Maxy wake up.." el groans.
max groans and puts the pillow over her head.
"maxxxxx" el says softly shaking max.
"I know you can hear me." she says.
max groans some more and pulls the blanket up over her head.
el sighed before grabbing max by her legs and pulling her off of the bed.
"ow!!!"
"morning, sleeping beauty."
max gave el a death stare before standing up.
"I had no other choice, sorry!"
"I know." max smiles, kissing her girlfriend.
"well, we're in a bit of a rush."
"for what..?"
"Nancy's party?, well the one mike is hosting."
"Oh shit, that's today?!"
"yeah!!" el chuckles.
"but its like-"
"11:12 pm"
"yeah."
"yep, it starts at midnight. don't wanna be late, right!" el chuckles before grabbing max a clean pair of clothes and tossing the at her.
"I have clothes."
"you mean the ones you wore to the skatepark, fell on the dirt like- 9 times trying to show me a trick, and that you slept in, no way you're wearing those."
"but- they're fine!"
"you're lucky I let you in my bed."
"i'm just irresistible, I know." max grins.
"yeah yeah, now change into the clothes and meet me on the porch."
"not my fault I didn't bring extra clothes!" max yells while grinning."
el smiles and runs out to the porch.
el was already ready, she looked gorgeous.
max didn't need to remind her, plus el hates flattery.
for some reason.
but like, so does max. they just work.
20 minutes later max comes out of els room, she wore a black dress with some tights under.
"you seriously made me wear a dress." max says coldly.
"look, you look pretty, Maxy. like always."
max couldn't help but smile.
"now cmon, sit down and let me do your hair."
max sat down in front of the couch and let el mess around with her hair.
el's actually pretty good at doing hair- max lets her do it a lot. mainly just French braids though.
el finished off max's hair and decided to add one finishing touch to max's outfit.
el put a necklace around max's neck, as she was moving max's hair away from the back of her neck to button up the necklace she noticed a hole in max's ear.
"why is there holes..?" el questions with a curious tone.
max giggles, "they're for earrings."
"ear-rings?"
"yeah, they're pretty, I guess. my mom took me to get them pierced back in California."
"i... I've never seen them."
"I don't really wear them a lot, they bother me."
"I want ear-rings." el said, pausing between 'ear' and 'ring', which made Max giggle.
"el, i'm pretty sure hopper would murder me if I took you to get them done."
"please, or no kisses!"
"fineeee... we'll see."
el flashes a bright smile.
"we've got a party to attend." el says, taking max's hand, and pulling her to the door. she threw the girl her jacket and her beaten up converse and pulled her outside revealing the snow.
"were so having a snowball fight later." max chuckles.
