max touches her cheek.
max: i'm literally not..
el: well, i dump your ass. you're turning into a real bitch max, what happened to you.. this isn't the max that i know. or knew.
el storms off.
max stands there with a surprised look on her face.
max walks back into the locker room and changes into her regular clothes very fast. the girl then sits back in the ally-way and cries.
------- LUNCH!!
the group ( minus max ) walk to the cafeteria.
lucas: where's max?
mike: haven't seen her since the morning.
dustin: she wasn't in chemistry today.
el looks at will, then back at the others.
el: so you probably didn't know, but max and i were dating. and uh.. we broke up.
the group looks at el.
will: what?? you broke up?
el: yeah.. at gym.
mike: so is that why she wasn't at class?
lucas worries.
lucas: shit.. where is she?
el: i don't know, and i don't care. i don't want ANYTHING to do with her right now.
lucas sighs.
will: max talks to me about stuff like this- sometimes. i'll try to go find her.
el: you guys are supposed to take my side!
will: who said we're taking sides?
will giggles, than he runs down the hall to the gym.
will: max?!
will: max!!
will approaches the girls locker room.
'it's lunch time, no one will be in there..' will thought
will opens the door and walks in.
will: max!!
will sees max's gym clothes and her bag sitting on a bench.
will sighs.
he knows that she's near.
will yells: MAX!
hoping for a response.
he looks around the locker room and then hears the metal door shut.
he looks back over and sees max, her eyes are red.. she's been crying.
will: max.. are you okay?
will: stupid question.. sorry.
will runs up to the redhead and hugs her.
will: tell me what happened.
max pulled away and sat down at the bench and tapped on the part of the bench next to her, signalling will to sit.
