sorta unrealistic, but thats okay!

wills pov!

we rode out bikes all the way up to the quarry. then we walked our bikes up the trail. it leads up to the "mountain" that overlooks the water. it has amazing views, so that's where were having our picnic!

3 hours later.

its 3:39 pm, hop and Joyce are gonna pick us up soon, the day is going great! well, that was until we got interrupted by... well, troy and his friends. of course. they had to ruin our day!

"WELL, well, well..." the annoying deep voice hisses.

el stands up getting ready to fight, but troys blonde friend smashes a rock on her head, knocking her unconscious, mike, max and i obviously start freaking out.

max pov!

they got a hold of will and mike, and they have knifes. well shit.

"jump into the water, OR THEY DIE." troy says, pointing a knife directly at will.

"don't max!!"

"YES, 5," troy begins to count down.

i walks up to the edge of the cliff, and look down.

shit were high up.

"4" troy says counting down, leaving me no choice.

my stomach is turning.

"3"

"MAX NO, ARE YOU CRAZY!" mike shouts.

"2!!" troy yells.

I step forward.

"AHHHH" I yell, I splash into the water, it feels as of i'm hitting a million bricks. then everything goes black.

mikes pov!

troy and his friends run off, will rushes over to el to make sure she's okay, she's slowly waking up.

I rush over to the edge of the cliff and look down.

shit.

I carry el over my shoulder and run as fast as I can down the 'mountain- hill' thing.

will runs after me.

we see hoppers car pull up, Joyce and him come running out when they see el in my arms.

"HELP MAX IS IN THE WATER!" will yells, not making much sense

"huh?"

"SHE WAS FORCED TO JUMP INTO THE WATER, SHE HASN'T COME OUT." I yell, hopper runs over to the water, and starts to swim out further and further.

Joyce holds onto el and will begins to cry. I rush into the water to help find max.

3 minutes go by of us looking around for max, when I hear hopper yell.

"I GOT HER!" he yells, pulling her out of the water.

I also hear el groaning, the pain is probably kicking in.

I swim out of the water, hop lays max down on the dirt, she's all pale and not moving.

"is she alive?" will asks, shakingly.

hop checks for a pulse and sighs like he's relieved.

"she's breathing, slowly. how is this possible.." hop mumbles.

I look over at el and see her slowly walking towards max.

she kneels down besides max's lifeless body, her tears dripping on max's face.

"stay.." is all el can manage to get out.

I side hug will as we watch, will is crying and hugging me tightly.

el begins to sob, hopper hugs her tightly as Joyce comes and rubs her back.

shit, is she ... dead?

"she's gone kid.." hop says with a upset and sorrowful tone.

I hug will tighter as he silently cries.

suddenly, we hear splashing and coughing.

we all look over to see what it is,

max..?

she's coughing out a lot of water and shivering like crazy.

el kneels down next to her and holds max into her arms.

max continues to cough and cough, will somewhat smiles, relieved that she's okay.

"take it easy kid..!" hop orders, el loosens her grip on max actually allowing her to catch her breath, she gasps for air before continuing to cough.

"get her in the car." hop orders, I help el carry her.

he begins speeding through the small town of Hawkins, arriving at the hospital shortly after. we all were crowded in the car, max was still struggling to catch her breath and breathe normally.

will just stared at her, panic in his eyes, I held his hand the whole car ride.

hop carries her and runs into the ER, us following right behind him, obviously we couldn't go in with her, so we had to wait.

1 hr later.

els face is stained with tears, Joyce put some bandaids on her head and she got some ice from a "ice chip" dispenser.

will began to calm down, Joyce wrapped her arms around el, and wills shoulder.

"she'll be okay." Joyce tried reassuring us.

"she didn't seem okay." will said.

"yes, but she will be."

"she couldn't even breathe, you think she'll be okay? she was like- dead for a second! how is that okay?" will raises his voice.

I put my hand on wills back to try to get him to relax.

he takes a few deep breaths and relaxes his back.

I sit up, I see hopper yelling at a doctor in a hallway not too far from us.

hop comes marching over to us and we all stand right away, like eager puppies.

"any news?" el says, that's the first thing she's said since, well earlier.

"we need to know the story behind this, okay." hop says, taking out his notepad and a pen.

"okay, we were talking up at the top of the hill- mountain thing, when troy, Benjamin, and Percy, came up to us, they hit el with a rock, and put knifes up to will and i. they then said they'd kill us unless max jumped. so she did." I said.

hop looked at me shocked.

"troy, Benjamin, and Percy? hop questions.

I nod.

he sighs, "they're at it again..." hop pulls out his walkie talkie and begins to talk. "control your damn children, they're not animals. they tried killing 4 kids, one of them ended up in hospice!" hop says in a fed up voice. "this family may be pressing charges, you want your kids going to juvie?" hop says. they finally get an answer, troy's mom, and ben's dad work at the same station, so hopper knows two out of the threes parents.

"now can you tell us if there is any news?"

"i'm no doctor."
