"do you guys wanna go to homecoming?" max asks.
"well, duh." mike says. "when do tickets go on sale?" el asks, looking directly into max's eyes.
"tomorrow, then the actual dance is next week. but we have to dress formally.." max sighs
"must be hard for you." mike mocks.. max just rolls her eyes as a response.
"it's true! most girls like dressing up, right will?" mike states.
"sure? i dont know?" will responds.
"i wonder if lucas and dustin are going." el says.
"they're probably struggling to find dates.." max giggles
"you guys are going together?" will asks
"well.. if el wants to go with me.." max replies
el smiles, "yeah, of course!"
max has a big smile on her face.
"are you two going to each-other?" max and el ask in unison which makes them giggle.. a lot.
"yeah, i guess?" mike asks, scooting closet to will.
max and el grin and look at each other.
time skip! - two hours before the semi-formal
max's pov
i've been getting ready for the past hour, my mom forced me to go dress shopping with her, which was the worst thing ever, anyways we picked out a dress, it's not too fancy which is good, but it's pretty-ish.
"you look beautiful max." my mom smiles as she runs her fingers through my hair.
"lucky el." she adds.
i smile slightly, then i look in the mirror.
and i thought i'd never be caught dead in a dress this fancy, or in a dress at all.
"come out when you're ready, i want photos!" my mom smiles brightly. I nod, she kisses the top of my head before walking out of the room.
I brush my hair, surprisingly my mom didn't offer to style it for me, but that's okay, i don't want to look too fancy. that's for sure.
everyone will probably make fun of me, well, except for will, el, and Lucas. so that just leaves mike and dustin, they're for sure gonna mock me.
anyways, time for like a million photos..!
