y/n rushed into the dance practice room excitedly. he tossed his bag aside as he now met his partner who was setting up the speakers.
"hi, love!" he said with a wide grin. yibo turned at the sound of the male's voice and smiled instantly. he didn't answer, instead giving him a gentle, quick kiss before their dancers entered the room.
the couple were individual captains for 'street dance of china 3', but were teaming up for the finale and y/n's enthusiasm was more than obvious. he turned toward the dancers and raised his hands.
"congratulations on making it to the final!" he gushed as he clapped for them. yibo couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of the giddy male.
"congrats, guys!" he added. their dancers smiled bashfully and said their 'thank you's.
"so for the final," yibo began, "you're mostly gonna be doing things on your own to show how you've grown, so make sure to give it your all. y/n and i will be in and out so you can focus mostly on yourselves, but that way we'll still be around if you need any guidance. sound good?"
the dancers agreed quickly, their eagerness getting the better of them.
"we'll be back in a minute with some waters, so you can go ahead and start warming up." y/n said, he and yibo connecting hands and leaving the dancers to themselves for a moment.
"this is exciting!" yibo whisper-yelled as they walked together. "i'm really interested to see what they'll put together. they've grown a lot this season." yibo added while y/n nodded.
"and then after the final, we'll have to wait for next season all over again." y/n said with a small pout.
"pfft, don't worry. time'll pass faster than you know it. plus, we have those events and things to attend for the untamed, so we should have plenty to keep us occupied." yibo encouraged.
"yeah, i totally didn't forget about that," y/n mumbled bashfully. the two had played the main couple in the tv series and always enjoyed going to related events.
after retrieving the waters for their dancers, the duo made their way back to the dance studio. they decided not to stay much longer to avoid being a distraction.
"we'll be in the next studio if you guys need anything!" yibo informed them as he was about to follow his already departed partner.
"actually, can we get your help with something really quick?" one of the dancers asked. yibo turned at this and walked back over to them.
"already? what's up?" he replied. the dancers exchanged glances, yibo noticing they seemed a bit shy.
"well since this is the last time we'll all be together, we agreed that we wanna do a sort of tribute to you and y/n. we wanted to kind of.. like, interpret your love story through the routine, but to do that we need to actually know your story. so we wanted to ask if you'd be comfortable telling us about you both."
