"fuck, you got a d in history?" jongseob said as he looked at his friend's paper in shock. y/n jerked away from the nosy male, stuffing the paper inside his locker before closing it with a huff.
"shut up. i'm going to the library now to get some books to study with. and it was a d plus," he corrected.
"oh, my bad. a d plus makes you a genius."
y/n rolled his eyes at jongseob's sarcasm as shota skipped up to his friends happily.
"hey guys. how were your classes?"
"oh, great. y/n here is the next academic prodigy," jongseob joked as he pat the other's head. shota looked at them in confusion, deciding not to ask further.
y/n leaned against his locker while the other two opened their own lockers just beside his.
"have you thought about getting a tutor?" jongseob asked. after getting no response from y/n, he and shota turned to look at him. the male's eyes were locked on another student at the end of the hall.
"someone's daydreaming again.."
"n/n!"
y/n came back to reality as he looked at his friends again.
"what?"
jongseob and shota exchanged amused glances.
"you were doing it again," shota answered.
"doing what?"
"staring at theo."
y/n quickly shook his head and looked down at the straps of his backpack.
"i don't know why you won't just go talk to him," jongseob said.
the three of them looked back over at taeyang with his friends, all of them too gorgeous to ever approach. taeyang was almost never seen alone. he'd always have someone by his side or trailing after him, making it even harder for y/n to possibly have a chance with him. or so he thought.
"popularity's a bitch, my friend," shota said as he pat y/n's shoulder. he closed his locker before waving goodbye to his friends.
