"waiting for xuxi?"
y/n looked up from his phone to see his groupmate now in front of him as he sat outside. he nodded before looking down at his phone again. the corners of yangyang's mouth shifted down.
"what's wrong?"
y/n looked up again.
"hm? nothing," he answered with a small voice. yangyang sighed and sat beside him.
"c'mon, i know you. something's up," yangyang insisted.
y/n felt a lump form in his throat as he turned his phone off and instead looked down at his hands. he was so tired of feeling the urge to cry every two minutes.
"i'm just sad, i guess," he finally answered.
"ah, i see.." yangyang said. his hand moved up to rub his friend's shoulder in comfort. "about xuxi's situation?"
y/n nodded again. he tried to ignore the tears pricking at his eyes. he didn't want to be in the middle of crying when xuxi arrived at the dorms to pick him up.
"i know, bub.. let me know if i can do anything to help. try not to think about it too much and just enjoy your time with him tonight, yeah?" yangyang suggested. y/n managed a little smile while nodding again.
"thank you."
as yangyang went back inside the dorms, xuxi's car finally pulled in. y/n felt his lips naturally curve up as he watched the taller appear from the driver's side.
"y/n, baby!"
"xuuuuxiiii!!"
xuxi's arms wrapped around the other tightly with a large smile. y/n looked up at him after pulling away to exchange a small kiss in greeting.
"how's my boy?" xuxi asked happily.
"i'm alright," y/n answered. he couldn't bring himself to look anywhere but his boyfriend's hands that he was now holding. he knew his answer was a lie, but he didn't have the energy to respond any other way.
