"babe? 'm home," sunoo called softly. he trudged into his bedroom and threw his bag aside, exhausted. y/n was sitting at his gaming desk, turning in his chair and taking his headset off upon hearing the other.
"hi, love. how was your day?"
sunoo frowned and shook his head at the question. he stayed quiet while going to sit on y/n's lap and planting a small kiss on his lips.
"don't wanna talk about it.. how was yours?"
"mine was fine, nothing special," y/n answered, settling his arms around sunoo's waist. sunoo nodded and gave him a small grin, but y/n could easily see it was a bit forced. "did something happen today, baby?"
sunoo tilted his head in thought. his hands went up to toy with y/n's hair as he searched for the right words to say.
"sunoo?.."
"..'m just having a bad day mentally, i guess."
y/n frowned and started rubbing his back softly.
"i'm sorry, love. can i do anything? you know you can talk to me, right?"
sunoo smiled at his boyfriend's endearing words. he gave y/n another kiss before thanking him and continuing on.
"..we were practicing for the comeback today, and there's a part of the choreography that makes my shirt lift over my stomach a little, and it just.. i dunno, i felt uncomfortable when i watched myself in the mirror."
"oh, baby.." y/n eased dejectedly. he felt sunoo's hands leave his hair and go down to his shoulders now. the smaller began fidgeting with the fabric of y/n's hoodie while avoiding his gaze.
"confidence is hard," sunoo added in a mumble. y/n's heart broke at this.
"alright, c'mon," y/n held sunoo as he stood up from his chair and went over to their bed instead.
after laying him down gently, y/n peppered kiss after kiss around his face. a small laugh escaped from sunoo, which only encouraged the other to continue.
"my beautiful," y/n paused to place more kisses along his neck, "beautiful boy."
sunoo knew his face had gone completely red by now. he looked down while trying to keep his smile at bay, watching his boyfriend travel further down to his chest and stomach.
y/n refrained from removing sunoo's shirt as he reached his midriff. his lips roamed slowly over the fabric, the trace of his kisses getting the boy underneath him more flustered by the second. kisses were sunoo's weakness, especially tummy kisses, and y/n loved taking advantage of it.
"i promise, baby boy, your body is so perfect. every single inch of you. you're like a dream, my love."
sunoo smiled again, now trying to hide his face a little with the hammering of his heart. y/n finished leaving a few more kisses on his stomach before moving back up to lock eyes with him.
"i know confidence is hard, but you're doing so well. i'm so proud of you. and i'm so happy to call you mine, kim sunoo."
sunoo almost felt a tear prick at his eye. he pulled y/n down and hugged him tightly, the pair staying this way for a good few minutes.
"thank you, y/n."
"don't thank me, baby. it's just the truth. and i'll always be here to remind you of it."
sunoo's heart fluttered. he pulled away from the hug to connect their lips one more time.
"..now, can i do anything else?" y/n asked. "want me to run a hot bath for you? with bubbles and maybe some candles and music?"
sunoo felt more relieved at just the simple suggestion of a bath. he quickly nodded in response. "yes pleeease.."
y/n internally cooed at the cute smile stretched on sunoo's lips. his pretty cheeks and crescent shaped eyes were the very definition of perfection.
"alright, wait here and relax, love."
sunoo nodded again, sitting up on their bed as he watched y/n disappear into their bathroom.
