I quickly followed Mason through the train and we finally got to the front of the train.

"You will go through this door." She said and I looked at her.

"You wont be going with me?" I asked and she shook her head.

"No, he is just requesting you." Mason said and I sighed. It was then I noticed my hands shaking.

"Mason, can you go find Curtis and tell him. I know he can't come in but I would like him here when I leave." I said and she nodded.

"I sure can." She said and opened the door with her card and then walked away. I didn't walk in right away.

"Mrs. Everett, is that you?" A voice called out. I took a deep breath and walked in. The door closed behind me. Something about hearing it bang shut made me jump slightly. I looked up and saw an older man standing further on the car and he smiled seeing me.

"Mrs. Everett, so nice to finally meet you. You have certainly set the train abuzz. Please come and sit." He said and I did as I was told.

"I don't think I'm anyone special." I spoke up finally. He chuckled and poured me a glass of orange juice adding champagne. "Been awhile since I've had a mimosa." I said as he handed it to me.

"Only the finest for the newest member of the front of the train." Wilford said and he sat down across from me.

"You seem pretty obsessed with my new status." I said and he chuckled.

"I'm sorry if I offend..." He said and I shook my head.

"No, I'm just not sure what I did to warrant the special one on one with you. Mason made it seem like this never happens." I said and he sighed.

"It usually doesn't. But usually a front ender doesn't pick a tailender to be his wife so this is a shock to me. Especially one that had a kid." Wilford said and I sighed.

"I got lucky with Curtis, he is amazing." I said and smiled.

"I watched your wedding, you looked lovely and I can tell he really loves you." Wilford said and I blushed.

"Well I really like Curtis. I know it will grow to love but it all happened so fast." I said.

Which is one of the reasons I called this meeting. I need you to know how important it is to us to keep the front of the train populated and running efficiently and smoothly." Wilford started to explained.

"Of course." I answered.

"You having your son already was a nice addition but we are looking for more children. Now we are looking upon you and Curtis since you are the newest married couple to produce more children." Wilford said and I almost choked on the drink I took.

"Excuse me?" I asked and he sighed.

"That cant be a shock to you Mrs. Everett." He said and I groaned.

"Call me Esme please and yes it's a shock. I mean I was told with Curtis bringing me up here I had to get married within 2 weeks, which I did. Now I'm being told I have to have a child sooner rather than later?" I asked. Wilford seemed to getting aggravated.

"Esme, let me ask you bluntly because I believe you are a blunt woman. Did you and your husband consummate your marriage?" Wilford asked and I looked at him in shock.

"You want to know if Curtis and I had sex on our wedding night?" I asked verifying and he nodded.

"Yes, I do." He said.

"I don't see how it's any of your business. Whether we are meant to have a baby right away or not. This is private between Curtis and I." I said.

"And me, I know everything on this train and I thought I would ask you first if you had." Wilford said. I just sighed and shook my head in shock.

"If I give you the answer I would like something in return." I said and he looked at me in shock.

"Bargaining...now you know how to play this game..." Wilford said.

"I've played it enough." I said and Wilford nodded.

"What do you have to bargain with?" He asked.

"I tell you about Curtis and I and if we consummated our marriage and I even keep you updated on baby progress if you want that but you need to give the people on the back of the train some more warmer blankets, better food and even better drinking water." I said. Wilford looked at me, sat back in his chair and crossed his arms.

"How would your new husband feel about this arrangement?" Wilford asked.

"Is this arrangement just with me and you, not me, you and my husband? As I seem to recall you wanted a meeting with just me." I said leaning back and crossing my arms as well. We stared at each other for a few minutes and then he huffed a laugh.

"Alright Esme, you win. I will promise to get your demands met for the back of the train..." Wilford said.

"I would like to go with the guards and watch it be delivered. Make sure my ends are being met." I said and he nodded.

"Granted. Now, you will tell me about you and Curtis. You will also go to the doctor on the train and be checked to make sure you can have children. You as well as I will get those results." Wilford said and I groaned to myself but nodded.

"Fine." I said and he extended his hand as we shook on it. Anything for the back of the train.

"Now you and Curtis?" He asked.

"Yes, we consummated our marriage....more than once." I said and he nodded.

"Good." He replied. I went to drink the last of the mimosa and Wilford took it from me.

"Just in case you might already be pregnant." He said and I groaned.

"Right..." I said knowing there as no way. I didn't say anything else and Wilford walked over to me and extended his hand helping me up from the chair.

"This was a lovely meeting Mrs. Everett and I will get word to you when you can go to the back when those supplies are ready." He said walking me to the door and I nodded. He opened the door and I walked out on my own and the door shit quickly. I released the breath I then realized I had been holding.

"Esme...?" I heard his voice and I was brought back to here and now. I turned my head and saw Curtis. I rushed him and wrapped my arms around his neck and he held on to me.

"Let's go home and talk." Curtis said and I nodded.

"We have a lot to talk about." I said. Curtis too my hand and we headed back in silence.
