***5 YEARS LATER***

"Winter! Lux! Lotus! Come on time to come inside!" I yelled from the back door into the back year as my twins and their younger brother were running around.

"5 more minute's mom, please?!" Lux begged as they ran to the door, and I sighed.

"No, come on. Dad will be here soon, and I need you all washed up." I said and they nodded rushing in and rushing to the bathroom.

I looked out into the backyard, at the huge plot of land we had. Most of it was for growing out own fruits and vegetables. This was a big change from 3 years ago. Curtis chose his family over the train. He was still train master, but he put someone in charge of nights and a few days too, just to be around. We knew the plane showed us it was clearing, and we knew it would have been safe to leave but we found it safer 2 years later when we started to actually see the ground and normal life again. There was a meeting with everyone on the train and we all stayed on the train for another year only parked so people could leave and build houses for everyone. Tanya and Desmond lived next door to us and there were just houses scattered on the plot of land we found. By looking at a map we figured were somewhere in the south although we weren't sure exactly.

Once we were all off the train as the houses were built, we started working on the community. Curtis and Desmond got a hunting party together to find animals for food since we couldn't survive on fruits and vegetables alone. Everyone insisted on giving Curtis and I the most land so we could grow everything, we were in charge of it for the whole community.

"We knew we weren't what the world used to have but we were alive, and we were making it. I walked into the house when I heard the front door open.

"Dad's home!" Lotus yelled excitedly. Being the only girl, she was clearly daddy's girl to know end.

Colt remembered the train the most and would constantly tell the younger kids about it. He would tell them how we started on the back of the train but then I married Curtis. The kids didn't want to believe I was married to someone before Curtis and thought Colt was making it up. Colt just let it go know thing the truth. I walked in and gave Curtis a kiss.

"Welcome back." I said and he sighed. He had been gone a week hunting.

"How was hunting?" I asked and he smiled.

"A couple deer, a bear...I really don't know how these creatures survived." Curtis said and I shrugged.

"They found somewhere to be. I mean we were lucky enough to have the fish and the chickens on the train." I said and he nodded.

"Well dinner will be ready in about 30 minutes. Why don't you guys go play in the living room. See if you can get Colt out of his book to see if he will play with you." I said and they laughed and ran to Colt in the living room. Curtis took my hand and pulled me to him.

"I missed you." Curtis said.

"I missed you." I said as he leaned in and passionately kissed me.

"Join me in the shower?" Curtis asked and I nodded.

"We will be back." I called out to the kids as Curtis took my hand and dragged me to our room. Once in the bathroom we were quickly undressing and getting in the shower. I adjusted the water and Curtis hissed at the temperature.

"You trying to scald me?" He asked and I laughed as he fixed it. I didn't say anything and pulled him to me so his body was pinning me again the wall.

"Don't question my methods Everett or I will leave this shower." I said with a smirk and Curtis lifted me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist, arms around his neck.

"I don't think you will Esme, you want to know why?" Curtis asked.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because you wouldn't get this..." Curtis said and slid me down on him and I moaned.

"Yeah, definitely not leaving the shower." I said and he smiled as I started moving on Curtis and he buried his face in my chest and started kissing. I moaned as I threw my head back. I brought my head back and I looked at Curtis.

"Kiss me." Curtis said and I smiled happy to oblige. I brought my hands to his checks and cupped his face passionately kissing him as I felt myself tense up.

"I'm so close." I said and Curtis shook his head and placed my feet on the ground and removed himself from me and I groaned at the sudden change.

"Bend over and hands on the wall." Curtis said. I didn't as I was told. It took me a minute to steady myself and I felt a swift hand smack me and then a sudden sting.

"That's for taking too long." Curtis said and I moaned. He then entered me painfully slowly. I moaned as he did, but I loved the feeling. He gripped my hips and started slamming into me and I cried out as he did. He reached a hand around and clasped it around my mouth.

"Silent Esme...kids." He said and I moaned as he moved the hand from mouth down to my throat gently gripping. After a few thrusts I felt Curtis swell inside of me as I tightened around him.

"I love you, Curtis." I said and he grunted as he was thrusting. He pulled me up, my back against his front and kept thrusting.

"Together Esme. I want to feel you as you feel me." Curtis whispered in my ear, and I nodded. A minute later we were both releasing. Our legs gave out on both of us, and we both slid down the wall of the shower. I sat between Curtis' legs, and we just let the shower water hit us. He wrapped his arms around me.

"Thank you so pushing to leave the train." Curtis said and I looked back at him.

"Thank you for choosing us after the surgery and listening to me." I said. I felt his hand come around me and run over my scar.

"I was so scared I was going to lose you. You are everything to me Esme. You and I may have met and married under some odd circumstances, but it was the best choice I ever made. If I had to do it again I would do it all over again." Curtis said and I smiled back at me.

"Me too. You gave me a wonderful life, 3 wonderful kids and helped make Colt just as wonderful even though he wasn't yours." I said and Curtis smiled. We both stood up, finished showering and quickly got out.

That night we were tucking the twins after getting Winter to sleep.

"Mom?" Lotus asked.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Will we ever have to go back in the train?" She asked and I sighed. I looked at Curtis and he smiled sitting on the edge of the bed behind me.

"No sweetie, we are home." Curtis said and I smiled. We gave her a kiss, Lux a kiss and we walked to our room. I went to the big window we had and stood there looking out. Curtis came up behind me and placed his arms around me and his chin on my shoulder.

"What are you looking at?" Curtis asked.

"Life outside the train." I said and he smiled kissing my cheek.

"This is the life. Everything I ever wanted with you when I met you. I used to dream about this life. Curtis said and I smiled.

"I did too. We finally have everything we ever wanted. I have you and the kids, the house and no more train master." I said and he laughed.

"Well, I don't mind you calling me master though." Curtis whispered in my ear, and I moaned. I turned in his grip.

"What do you say we go to bed, and I try out calling you master a little more?" I asked and he growled passionately kissing me.

This was life. This is where I was meant to be, on the right side of the tracks.
