***3 MONTHS LATER***

I was sitting, waiting for my results. I was late, I knew I was late, but I had kept it from Curtis just telling him I had a tendency to skip months. I was sitting on the examination table waiting for the doctor to come in with my results. I got thinking about if this didn't happen, I didn't know what to tell Wilford. He was expecting a baby and things were taking time. After some time, the doctor came walking in and she smiled at me.

"I have good news Esme." She said and I smiled.

"Am I...?" I asked trailing off.

"You are..." She said and showed me the results. I smiled at her and got off the table.

"Do you have any questions?" She asked and I sighed.

"How fair along am I?" I asked.

"About 9 weeks." She said and I smiled.

"Thank you." I said and she smiled.

"We have already informed Wilford..." She said and I groaned.

"Of course, you have because of course he should know before the father..." I grumbled.

"We were under strict orders." The doctor said and I nodded.

"I know...it's fine. I just need to go tell Curtis, he is at home with Colt." I said and walked out and headed straight to the room. Once I walked in, I saw Colt playing with his cars on the coffee table and Curtis was playing with him.

"Hey." I said and they looked up at me and Curtis looked at the smile on my face.

"Can we talk?" I asked and he nodded.

"Buddy, we will be in the bedroom for a minute." Curtis said and Colt nodded. We walked into the bedroom and once the door was shut, I pulled Curtis into a passionate kissed and he growled once we broke apart.

"Damn Esme, not that I want to complain but is everything okay?" Curtis asked and I smiled showing him the paper and he read it over. He then looked at me shocked.

"We're having a baby!" Curtis said and wrapped me in his arms and passionately kissed me.

"We're having a baby." I said after we broke apart and he placed a hand on my cheek.

"You feeling okay? You should lay down, relax..." Curtis said then panicked and I laughed.

"Curtis, I'm fine...really. It's just a baby. I can still go on with daily life." I said and he sighed.

"I just want you to be okay, you and the baby." Curtis said and placed a hand on my stomach.

"We will be. I have better care here than I did with Colt and he turned out perfect." I said and Curtis sighed placing his forehead against mine.

"I love you." He said and I smiled.

"I love you too." I said and he gave me a gentle kiss. Once we broke apart, I sighed.

"I have to tell Colt." I said and he nodded.

"We can tell him together." Curtis said as he took my hand, and we headed out of the bedroom. I smiled at Colt as we sat on the couch.

"Hey, can Curtis and I talk to you for a minute?" I asked Colt and he smiled with a nod. He stopped playing with his cars and went over to sit in Colt's lap. I smiled at him.

"So, remember how before we left that back of the train that lady had that baby and you wanted to know why I didn't have another baby other than you?" I asked and he nodded.

"Yeah..." Colt said.

"Okay well it looks like it going to happen for me. I'm pregnant buddy. I'm going to have a baby." I said excitedly. I smiled at Colt, Curtis was also smiling. Colt looked at both of us.

"NO!" He yelled throwing the toy car he had been holding, jumped off Curtis' lap and ran to his room shutting the door. I sat there in shock. Curtis grabbed a hand of mine that was in my lap.

"All he ever asked from me was to have another baby at one point in time. I didn't think it would be that big of a deal." I said and Curtis sighed seeing the tears form in my eyes. He leaned over and kissed my cheek.

"Let me go talk to him." Curtis said.

"Curtis..." I said and he shook his head.

"Let me try." Curtis said and I nodded. I watched him walk into Colt's room.

***CURTIS POV***

I opened the bedroom door and I saw Colt sitting on the bed, crossed legs with his arms crossed as well. A permanent scowl on his face.

"Hey buddy, can we talk?" I asked. He didn't answer me. I just sighed and sat on his bed. "Colt, I just want to talk to you about the outburst out there." I said and he looked up at me and I saw tears streaking his face.

"I don't want a stupid baby." Colt said.

"And why not?" I asked.

"Because it will take you and mom away from me. The one kid in my class his mom had a baby and he said they only worried about the baby." Colt said.

"So, you are worried your mom and I will only worry about the baby and forget all about you?" I questioned and he nodded.

"You will." Curtis said.

"Well, I would like to tell you that will never happen. Your mom and I love you so much and we have enough room in our lives that we will love both you and a baby equally." I said and Colt shook his head.

"Nope, I don't want this baby. I just got you in my life as my dad and I don't want to share you." Colt said. My heart melted when he said dad. I never really called me dad since I married Esme. I knew it was all his choice and in his own time.

"Buddy, your mom will always be your mom and I got lucky enough to become your dad. I will always make time for you like your mom will. We love you so much buddy." I said and he shook his head. He was one stubborn kid.

"The baby won't be here for a few more months so we have time to get used to the idea. Do you think I'm ready to be a dad to a baby? I got lucky when I get you with you mom because you could tell me anything and everything. With this baby I won't know anything, I was hoping you could be my big helper but if you don't want this baby then I guess I'm on my own." I said. I was hoping to guilt him, but he just shrugged. I sighed knowing nothing was going to get through to him. I leaned in and kissed the top of his head and sighed.

"Your mom and I will be out in the living room if you want to come out." I said and got up. I took on last look at Colt and he grumbled something. "What?" I asked.

"I love you dad." Colt said.

"I love you too buddy." I said and walked out of the bedroom.
