Charles' heavy breathing could be heard, he was either extremely scared or extremely mad at Kelly, no one knew but his heavy breathing was the only thing that they could actually hear for a while.
Charles was extremely mad he wanted to grab Kelly and hit her so bad but he didn't, he was using a lot of self control not to but if Kelly screwed up again he sure was going to snap.
"Cleo? Do you still have those candles your superstitious grandmother gave you? " She asked " Firstly, Grandma Basu is not 'superstitious' she's just incredibly religious and she's a lot more sensible than you so have some respect when you talk about her" Cleo said through gritted teeth, she tried her best to be nice and patient but Kelly was incredibly stupid " The candles are in the top drawer by the way" she added.
Kelly's footsteps were heard shuffling towards the corner of the sitting room where drawer was, after finding them, she lit about 6 candles placing them at the most important areas of the sitting room so that they could see and she put one on the broken coffee table as well.
Then as if nothing ever happened, she carried the mirror once again to adjust her make up but she was unable to because Liam slapped it out of her hand " What the fuck Liam?" She asked with a hint of annoyance, everywhere became silent for a brief moment. "Oouu" Kelly said as she stood up and walked towards an object draped in sheets.
"I've been wanting to ask, what the heck is that?" Charles said in a calm tone as he sank into the sofa trying to relax his tense muscles trying to forget about all this curse stuff..at least for a while he felt like he was losing his mind.
Kelly clicked her tongue as she excitedly bounced towards the object,"well it's the.." Kelly said as she gripped the fabric that covered the object,"...new mirror I ordered,ha!" She added as she quickly took off the drapes and looked at her reflection in the mirror, "DAMN, Kelly! Why did you do that?! Jeez!" Cleo asked frantically shouting but Kelly either didn't hear her or she did and decided to ignore Cleo because she stood in place as she stared at the mirror.
"Kelly seriously?! Are you going to Ignore Cleo because of your own reflection?!" Charles said as he got up from the sofa, but Kelly still stood in place she didn't even move an inch so now they were sure that she was deliberately ignoring them.
Having had enough of Kelly, Liam went first and was about to yell at Kelly even more with a couple of insults but he also looked at the mirror and didn't say a thing or make a move.
Charles took a cautious step towards them and looked at the mirror too, he also stood in place and didn't move, Josh and Cleo looked at their friends and wondered what was going on... Why were they behaving weird?
After they had waited for them to move away from the mirror for about 5 mins, they decided to not look at the mirror like their friends but they also wanted to help them snap out of the trance they were in,so they covered their eyes and blindly groped their way to their friends.
Cleo stumbled into a vase in the living room and was about to fall face down but someone's hand steadied her, it was Josh's but as Cleo held onto his arm to steady herself she uncovered her eyes and she accidentally looked at the mirror but instead of being frozen in place like her friends she screamed and sobbed... What she saw was unbelievably scary...
