Morning came faster than it usually did or maybe it just seemed that way. Cleo was true to her words, when her friends woke up they found her in the study with several books around her.

Her hair was in a messy bun, she was in a blue long shirt and a pair of pink ankle socks, her head was propped up by her hands which rested on her thighs. She occasionally reached towards the coffee table to take a sip out of her coffee and a bit of her sandwich. "Hey guys. Shower and get dressed immediately, when you're done I'll give you things you should research on relating to this curse" Cleo said without looking up from her book.

They listened to her, they had never seen her like this and they didn't want to provoke her by being sassy or something. At least not when they didn't know what the outcome would be.

Soon enough the guys joined Cleo in the study, she gave them what they were to research on. She gave Charles the task of finding out about the demons, Liam was to find out about their weaknesses, Josh's was to find out about how many rules there were while Cleo's was to find about the founder's activities and she studied them carefully.

Charles was able to find out about a lot of demons the founder had encountered but there was a problem. The founder himself stated at the end of each entry that he wasn't sure of the exact number.

He was just a sick servant that bid to their wishes, so they were doomed. Why? Because there wasn't a pattern as to how the demons came to have fun with them which meant at random, the strongest one could come at any time to finish them up or the ones they didn't have the chance to know of their existence. So yep, they were definitely doomed.

Charles read about a few and he wrote notes on them.
Deadly creatures
Oni- a horned creature/demon armed with an iron club. Target: varies

Kelpie- water spirit that often disguises itself and drowns people. Target: anyone

Llorona- a female spirit that weeps in search of her lost children. Target: Children

Wendigo- spirit that possesses anyone and turns them into cannibals. Target: anyone it considers vulnerable, in any case. Anyone

Nuckelave- a half man, half horse creature with toxic breath. Known to cause diseases. Target: Anyone unlucky enough to cross its path.

Spider seducer- a rare spider would turn into a woman and seduce her prey, known to inject poisonous venom. Target: Men.

Weaknesses

Oni- its pride. If it can be revealed to reveal its true self.

Kelpie- iron.

Llorona- sight of her own reflection.

Wendigo- its heart. Destroy it.

Nucklelavee- rain, freshwater and smoke from burning seaweed.

Spider seducer- cold sharpened steel. Once killed body must be burnt to the point of ashes.

"Charles are you done?" Cleo asked as she looked over his shoulder, "yh, I guess" Charles replied as he yawned.

"Hmm, let's take a break then" Cleo said as she looked at her friends, they looked sleepy, "are y'all hungry? I could go make a shawarma. " Cleo said as they nodded their heads at her suggestion.

"Beef or chicken?" She asked, "chicken for all of us" Charles replied as she nodded and left the study. "Phew, she was overworking us to the bone" Josh said as he slumped on the chair.

"Yh but I get why she's doing it and you should too" Liam said as he continued going through some papers. "Bro, can you relax? Jeez it's not like doing this stuff will get Kelly back anyway" Josh said and with that Liam hit Josh.

Charles got in between them before it led to a full on fight, "both of you should relax, Liam you have a point, Josh you're also right but you had no right to say it like that " Charles said as he turned to Josh.

"I know" Josh replied as he leaned against the table, "yh? Then say what you're supposed to" Charles said as he looked at Josh expectantly.

"I'm sorry bro" Josh said as he extended his hand, "yh sure" Liam replied as he shook his hands.

After a while the guys waited for Cleo to come back. "Hm, it's taking Cleo quite a while isn't it?" Charles said as he looked at his friends, all their eyes suddenly went wide as an understanding creeped between the three of them.

Without uttering a word, they all ran to the direction of the kitchen. How could they be so stupid just a few days ago, Kelly died the same way. In a kitchen, now they left Cleo in the kitchen alone. When they got to the kitchen they found Cleo mixing the veggies and chicken together.

"Oh hey guys, do you want two sausages and cheese? Or three sausages with no cheese? Or three sausages with lots of hot sauce?" She asked as she looked at them innocently, their faces looked like they were afraid. "Why are you g-" Cleo asked as she was cut off by Josh's lips.

She kissed him back but after he pulled away, the guys grabbed her and pulled her into a tight hug.

"As much as I love you guys, I can't breathe" she said as she wiggled out of their hold. "Why are you behaving weird?" She asked as she narrowed her eyes at them, "well when you were taking so long, we thought well- you're in the kitchen. Alone. Just like how-" Josh replied as she cut him off, "like Kelly was" she said completing his sentence.

The three of them nodded, "well, I'm fine. Thanks for worrying" she replied as she plastered a small smile across her face." I want mine with cheese and two sausages" Liam said, "I want mine with lots of hot sauce and three sausages" Charles said. "I want mine the way you're making yours" Josh said, "so that's everything then" Cleo stated as she grilled the four separately so as to not mix them up.
