"No thanks Mabel, I don't mean to be rude but we didn't come here to eat. We came here to find some answers to the questions we have and how to deal with this thing before it kills us." Josh said calmly, he looked at Mabel to see any sign of her being offended but she just nodded "okay then but what I'll show you, you can't show anyone else. Never ever" she said with the most serious face the friends had ever seen her make.
"We promise, we won't, we need your help and aren't looking to cause trouble..." Kelly said as she looked down at floor"... And I'm sorry for speaking the way I spoke to you the other night, I was being dumb.." Kelly said," um dumb is an understatement, you were being a stupid ass bitch" Liam said as he interrupted Kelly.
"Fine I get it! I was wrong okay? It's my fault, I'm sorry I just want us to be safe and I regret everything I did" she said as she broke down.
Kelly usually broke down to get sympathy but this time it wasn't the case, she felt really really bad because of her actions they were in more trouble with whatever was hunting them, "let's go then" Mabel said as she leads them out of the kitchen to a strange looking door, the door had some strange writing written on it the friends couldn't understand what was going on but they followed, they needed answers and only Mabel was nice enough to help them.
Mabel put her hand on the door whispering some kind of weird language and the door opened! Weird! "Come on, we haven't got all day" she said as she beckoned them in." Whoa!" Liam said in amazement, where they were in wasn't an ordinary room it was a Library, "this is where the scary part comes" Mabel said as she pressed the button hidden in a Stony wall and as the wall shifted and revealed a secret passage,it was dark so pulled a lever behind a shelf and the passage became bright enough to walk through.
"This is where the archives have been kept, you're not supposed to see this but oh well, I guess we've all been doing a lot of stuff we're not supposed to." Mabel said as she facepalmed herself while she looked in their direct.
They didn't need to be told twice before going in, as they went down the stairs they went through a hallway with strange doors lined from the left to the right. When they got to a dead end, Mabel knocked on the wall and it slid open revealing an archive.
"Whoa, this is..." Josh said as they looked around the archive. "Mmmhmm" Mabel hummed and pointed at the section that would help, "that shelf, although I have no problems with you reading or looking at all the artifacts and books here, that shelf has more information about what answers you seek. It has the diaries of the founders of this City as well as the first ones to be inflicted by the curse and so much more" She said as she sat down and fiddled with an artifact in her hands.
Cleo quickly got to opening the first book she saw, she knew they couldn't stay here all day so it would be faster if they all read different books instead of reading one together but when she looked at her friends she already saw them with book in their hands. "If anyone finds anything that can help just let us know, understood?" She said and her friends replied with a nod.
