I miss her

Silence filled the entire household as they decided to catch up on their research, the only sounds that were made were their footsteps, flip of the pages and the occasional tick of the clock. Time seemed to slow down while they carried out their research.

As Charles read the book he had in particular, the mention of different creatures that the founder had encountered caught his attention. They were a lot but he decided to read some incase they encountered one of them again. After all, Camila was one of them and if Cleo hadn't read about her... All of them would be long gone.

He didn't like to read, it was tiresome and boring but he didn't have a choice because if he didn't read it, more dangerous creatures would catch them off guard.

Dear diary, I have decided to jot down many of the creatures I've met and their weakness along with it

Penananggalan: I met her in the day and at first, I believed she was human and I tried to make a conversation with her but she remained quiet and never spoke. At night, when I was about to make my sacrifice out of a young lady I had stumbled upon earlier. I saw her again but this time her head was detached from her body and she was floating, her body quickly decomposes. She fed on the blood of the young lady i was about to kill and floated away. It was in the morning that I heard in the newspaper that the lady was actually pregnant, I tested my theory and brought another lady that was visibly pregnant, she did the same, I brought children, she did the same. I also brought a lady that wasn't pregnant. She didn't drink her blood. It has led me to the conclusion that she only feeds on pregnant women and children. Also I would like to note that during day she has this distinctive smell of vinegar the reason is not known. Her weakness is her torso, a freshly made ginger paste applied to her torso will kill her Instantly.

Shape shifting doppelganger: this particular creature I experienced was during a near death experience. His original form is a floating dark mist with glowing eyes and claws. I had met him after my first ever sacrifice, I was tidying up when I heard a human voice that asked me what I was doing, when I spun around to see the person who I was speaking to he looked exactly like me, the only difference was the color of clothes we wore. Otherwise people would think we were the same person , while I made conversation with him he would only reply with one word, he grabbed me roughly and his hands turned into claws which dug into my skin and caused my blood to seep through my clothes, I was saved by Camila. His eyes went into its sockets as he changed into his real form. I've never seen him again so I don't know his weakness.

Skin walker: "they", I say they because in it's original form. It is gender neutral, I first stumbled upon them one late winter evening while I grieved, I received a letter earlier that day which informed me about my brother's death. He had been I'll and passed on. While I followed a trail in the woods to take a walk. I heard footsteps behind me turning around I was face to face with my brother I was so overcome with joy and I was about to hug him but I stopped myself, it seemed uncanny that he'd come to the city and be able to find me so quickly. Before my eyes it showed its true self as its skin began to glide off its body like sand. The smell of blood filled the air. Its weaknesses ranges from silver to saying its name when close to bullets coated with ash. One main thing about the skin walker is, it cannot enter your home without your permission. Do be careful

I shall write about more of these creatures later.

"Whoa, it's making my skin crawl but it's helpful. I think I'll keep this close by" Charles said as he got up from the sofa, he stretched his body and yawned. He was really tired. "Let's go to bed yh?" Liam said as he rubbed his eyes and set his book down.

"Alright let's go, I'm beat" Josh said as he held Cleo's hand to take her to their room. After yawning at intervals, they went to their room.

While Cleo and Josh made their bed, Liam and Charles made theirs too. "I miss Kelly" Cleo said as she sat down on the bed and sobbed. "I miss her too, I wish she was here" Liam said as he leaned on the wall. "Yh, I miss her but I'm sure she'd want us to get a grip on ourselves and continue to fight" Josh said as he held Liam and Cleo close.
