Camila was still with Charles as she broke his finger the sickening crack was heard while Charles screamed and made attempts to try and get away from her but it only earned him another broken finger and he screamed in pain.

Cleo heard the screams and she looked at how the ghoul was enjoying it, the ghoul was enjoying Charles'pain , she knew she had to act fast before she broke another finger. Cleo got up and staggered to where Camila was still with Charles.

She approached the ghoul's back slowly, normally one would expect a supernatural entity to be quiet unambushable but she was so engrossed in licking the blood from Charles' cuts, "hey! Camila!" Cleo said as she towered over the ghoul.

"Die" she said as she drove the knife into Camila's skull. Camila in turn backhanded Cleo and sent her flying into the wall.

No. I will be..

She said as she vanished from the sight of the friends. "Oh my gosh" Kelly groaned as she struggled to get on her feet, "is it over?" Liam said as he used the wall as support. Cleo got on her feet and stumbled, she was about to fall but Josh and Liam steadied her.

They leaned on each other, staggering, weak, tired, bloody and injured as they made their way to the exit lugging the backpack full of books with them. Normally, the journey home wouldn't have taken up to 10 minutes but they were injured so it took them all a long time to get home. When they did, Kelly helped Charles to the sofa while Liam and Josh laid Cleo next to him. "How are you?" Josh asked Cleo, "hm.. ouch.. it's pretty obvious that I'm not fine, everything hurts.." Cleo said as she winced in pain.

"Yh, we're going to have to call a doctor, it's possible that you broke some bones" Kelly said as she looked at Cleo's face, "and as for both of you we need to make sure something is done about your injuries and mine" Kelly said as she raised her shirt up revealing the discoloration on her stomach, she winced as she sat on the floor next to Josh.

If anyone had told them this a long time ago, they wouldn't have believed, they'd have thought the person had gone round the bend or was joking. Time really does reveal things and change perspectives.

Here they are in their living room with injuries inflicted on them by 'Camila' who would even believe them. They certainly can't tell their family about what's going on because they'd all think they were crazy and come to this city to get them.

No they can't allow them to get involved in anyway.

Now they had the books, they'd start extensive research tomorrow hopefully they'd find something useful about all this. Hopefully before those demons attacked them again. "Cleo?" Charles said, "mm?" Cleo replied as she tried to sit up and bit her lip from the pain her battered body felt. "Why'd you call that thing 'camila' ? Also what was in that knife that it got rid of her?" Charles continued as he looked at his discolored fingers.

"Ouch.. I saw it.. in one of the books, her name is Camila, the founder also encountered her during one of his rituals. He mentioned that her weakness is a knife that has been in contact with peacock blood and my grandma gave me that knife as a gift last summer. She said she felt that I'd need it in my future" Cleo said as her eyes teared up, this time she wasn't crying because of the pain her body felt, she was crying because she missed her grandma. Her grandma was the only person that treated her well.

Cleo's parents were abusive; psychologically, verbally, physically but her grandma got custody of her when she was six and took care of her. Her grandma was her everything, if her grandma hadn't given her that knife as a gift then... They would have probably died this evening.

They didn't move an inch, not because they were tired. Well they were after all getting beat up by a non human being is exhausting but the comfort of their beds upstairs wasn't enough to substitute for the more pain they'd feel if they climbed the stairs.

So they decided to sleep in the positions they were. Tomorrow was a new day for them to carry out extensive research
