after landing in la, maddy and lily-rose meet up in a cafe and facetime lillian.
"i just landed bitch! i know you were hoping my plane crashed but your dumb prayers and manifestations didn't work because im still alive and breathing!" maddy shouts as soon as lillian answers the phone.
"maybe next time then," lillian sarcastically replies "by the way, i'm at work, you know?"
"i told you, mads," lily-rose "we should've waited until tomorrow."
"uh, tomorrow to her is like two days from now for us and i'm not waiting that long to facetime my bestie after my hot and steamy honeymoon."
lillian furrows her eyebrows "mads, baby, that didn't make any sense."
"i might be jet lagged. and a little drunk off of airplane alcohol," she admits.
lillian giggles and shakes her head "i'll text you both later when i'm done working. bye, love you."
as lillian hangs up, she spots dacre. taking a deep breath, she decides to make her way over to him.
"dacre! hey."
he turns toward her, shocked that she's even talking to him "oh. hi, lillian."
"i wanted to talk to you about that kiss."
"oh, shit right. look, lil, im sorry about that," he apologizes "it was really inappropriate and i just wish i never did it."
"dacre, we're working together. we're going to be working on this movie for a long time after this. even after we're done there's gonna be press, film events, interviews. and even after all that, we're still on a show togther. and you know how the media is," she sighs and steps forward "so you need to mature and learn boundaries. be my co worker, not my friend. be civil and professional."
dacre nods and slides his hands in his pockets "okay, i can do that."
"okay. see you."

as i'm sitting down on the couch, typing away on my laptop, responding to emails and such, austin sits down next to me.
without looking up at him i say, "i talked to dacre about boundaries and professionalism. he seemed to understand."
"that's great, baby," he says and rubs my thigh affectionately, kissing me on my cheek. "hey, uh, what do you think about getting a cat?"
i look at him with a grin "i love the idea. right now?"
"as soon as we can."
i shut my laptop and look at him curiously "what made you ask me that?"
he shrugs "you love cats and i'm feeling bored. having a cat around here would make things better."

and i speak french, but i'm not sure if any of you do. and "triste" means upset or sad in french and i'm surprised no one brought it up but maybe no one speaks french 😭
i just think it's so funny when we i see her last name cus it translates to english as "maddy sad"
