the wedding

~

i stand in front of the full length mirror on the wall in front of me, admiring the beautiful dress on my body.

and as i stare at myself wearing this gorgeous gown, it hits me that i've been waiting for this day since the moment i met austin.

that day in the parisian cafe.

i admire my dress, the way the fabric drapes around my body and the beautiful pattern that decorated the white dress.

a soft knock is at my door and maddy enters with a smile on her face, "hello, beautiful bride. how you feeling? nervous?"

i turn away from the mirror and face her, shaking my head "i'm excited. i've never been more excited for anything in my life actually."

"good. i was shitting my pants before i got married."

if chuckle softly, taking a seat on a nearby chair, "of course you were, mads. where's lily?"

"last i saw her she was fussing over something stupid," maddy shrugs.

"i don't think anything at my wedding is something stupid. but okay."

she chuckles and rolls her eyes, "you know what i mean. worrying about something that doesn't matter. today is your special day and it'll be special no matter what."

i nod, catching my face in the mirror again "yeah."

"you know, lil, i know you and austin had sex at my wedding."

a blush spreads across my cheeks as i look back at her "how the hell did you know?"

"it wasn't hard to figure out. and im me. it's like i can sense these things."

just as maddy finishes her sentence, lily bursts into the room, a sense of urgency in her voice. "lil, we need to be ready out there. it's time!" she exclaims, excitement radiating from her. "austin is practically bouncing with anticipation."

maddy and lily exchange knowing glances before turning to me. "you look fucking gorgeous, lillian," maddy says, her eyes welling up with tears. "austin is a lucky man. i'm almost jealous."

lily nods in agreement. "you're are the most beautiful bride. we can't wait to see you walk down that aisle."

as the two of them leave to join the other bridesmaids, including my sister madison, i take a moment to collect myself. the room feels alive with anticipation, and my heart races with a mix of nerves and joy.

just then, my dad enters the room. his eyes glisten with emotion, and a proud smile spreads across his face. he approaches me, gently placing his hand on my cheek. "you look absolutely breathtaking, sweetheart," he says, his voice filled with love and pride. "i couldn't be prouder of the woman you've become."

tears well up in my eyes as i take in his words. "thank you, daddy," i manage to say, my voice filled with emotion. "i'm so grateful to have you by my side today."

he leans in and places a tender kiss on my forehead. "it's an honor to walk you down the aisle, lili. you deserve all the happiness in the world."

feeling a sense of calm and reassurance, i take a deep breath and stand up. as i look at myself one last time in the mirror, i can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of love and gratitude. today is the day i marry the love of my life, and i am filled with excitement for the journey that lies ahead.

with a smile on my face and my heart full of love, i take my father's arm, ready to walk down the aisle and begin this beautiful chapter of my life.

as Dad walks me down the aisle, I can't help but smile radiantly. Austin's eyes are filled with a tears and adoration, and I can feel the intensity of his love with every step I take. The joy and happiness in my heart grow exponentially as I draw closer to him. The entire audience gazes at me with happiness, but in this moment, I couldn't care less about their presence. My focus is solely on Austin—the love of my life.
