Y/n and Rui were known at school to be the "weird kids". Despite the names they were called and the bullying they faced, they were both really good friends.

Though, Y/n has had a crush on Rui for 2 months now but they don't know how to tell him.

Y/n was walking through the hall, trying their best not to be spotted by anyone.

They successfully made it to the rooftop without being seen, when they arrived, they saw Rui waiting for them! but he was standing with someone else..?

'maybe next time' y/n thought as they sighed and approached Rui, and the 'unknown' figure.

"Hey Rui, who's this?" I asked. "Oh Y/n! Meet Yami! One of my childhood friends that moved away and is just returning!" Rui replied. The so called 'Yami' just eyed me, probably waiting for a greeting. "Hello Yami." I said bluntly.

"Hi. Anyways! Rui, where were we? Oh yes! Then she ran out the classro....

Everything suddenly went silent.

I couldn't hear anything at all.

The thoughts of Rui being with my childhood bully consuming me entirely.

What if he ends up-

"Y/n?! Are you okay??" Rui asked with a concerned look on his face while moving his hand in front of my face.

"Oh, sorry, I uhm, didn't get much sleep, haha, I was finishing up writing some song lyrics last night" I said while scratching my head.

"Ok but try to get more sleep tonight, you have a live performance next Tuesday!" He exclaimed.

"You're still coming right??" I ask waiting for his usual response of 'Fufu of course I am! What kind of friend would I be to not attend?' but not this time..

"I'm sorry Y/n, I won't be able to make it this time, I'm gonna be hanging out with Yami. I'll be sure to go with you next time..!" He said.

That completely broke my heart.

am i..being replaced..?

He said he'd always be there with me?

You know, maybe I'm just overreacting..right.?

"Y/n, I'm sure he just wants to..hang out with his old friend you know..!" Mizuki's voice rang from my phone.
"Before you know it, everything will be back to normal..! i hope.." They added.

I sighed and checked the time,

7:00 PM (19:00)

'oh I haven't eaten yet..'

"Mizuki, I'm gonna go eat and then work on some things for my performance on Tuesday. I'll talk to you tomorrow! ..Also, thanks for trying to cheer me up." I said. They smiled and said "Anytime Y/n! Goodbye!"

I hanged up the phone and sat down at my desk, opening my laptop and looking for a certain file.
