Ena x Reader "Ugh! I can't come up with any ideas!!" The young artist's voice echoed through the room as she threw her paintbrush towards her locked bedroom door. Then after a few seconds of silence, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned to see her partner, Y/n, standing behind her holding her paintbrush that was previously on the ground.
"Y/n..- am I bothering you from your reading..? haha sorry about that, im just a bit frustrated.." She said as she slightly smiled.
"Ena, you have nothing to apologize for, I can try to help you if you'd like!" Y/n said as they handed Ena her paintbrush back.
She gently took the paintbrush from y/n while she said, "ah you don't have to do that you know, I don't want you to be wasting your time on me"
"Don't worry about that, it doesn't count as wasting time if I'm with you!" y/n replied while smiling, "soo, I heard you were having trouble coming up with ideas?" they added.
Ena sat there, dumbfounded. While also wondering how she ended up with such a wonderful person. But I suppose she was spaced out/day dreaming for a minute or two because she then heard y/n's voice saying, "Ena? Are you alright??"
"Hah?!.- oh! Yes I am.." she smiled, "And yes I am also having a hard time coming up with ideas.." she sighed.
"Okay! I can try to help you! but I won't guarantee that this will give you any ideas but would you like to stop by the new cafe that opened up around here with me?" Y/n asked her. She smiled and said, "of course!
They sell cheesecake right..?"
"I mean, I'm not sure we are about to find out! Race you to the front door!!" y/n said as they bolted out the room.
"Heyy!! No fair!" Ena yelled as she struggled to take her apron off.
At the cafe "Yeah.! But you still had a head start!" Ena said as you both walked into the cafe.
"Mhm..believe what you want to" you shrugged.
You both found a table and sat down. After a few minutes of discussion, the topic changing from what to order, to how the rest of niigo was doing, to how annoying Akito is, to how you two were handling school and so on, a waitress came up to your table,
"Hello! Are you two ready to order?"
"Yes we are! They'll have a f/d and f/s (favorite drink and favorite snack) and I'll have a f/d and cheesecake please!" Ena smiled.
"Alright! Coming right up!!" The waitress said as she wrote your orders on a note pad, smiled and walked away.
"So, have you gotten anything in mind yet?" You asked.
"Huh? What are you- OH!- not yet" Ena responded.
"Hm. Don't worry you'll get an idea soon!" You smiled as you pat her head.
"Hey! Be careful! You're gonna mess my hair up!! That took forever to fix this morning you know!" She squealed.
"Dayumm, Sorry!" You said while acting offended.
You both giggled and and continued talking about random stuff.
"So how's Mizuki been?" You asked.
"Oh. I'll tell you alright!" Ena started which made you grin.
'Their smile looks so pretty..' she thought to herself.
"Ena? Enaaa???" You said, "wow you sure are spacing out a lot today, are you sure you're alright??" You added.
"I'm fine!" She said.
As soon as you opened your mouth to speak the waitress came back with your orders.
"Here you go!" She said as she placed the f/d's, the f/s and the cheesecake on the table.
"Thank you!" You exclaimed whilst smiling.
'Why does their smile have to look so beautiful. Jsksskskskksndmdk have I really fallen for them this hard..?' Ena thought to her self.
"Your welcome!!" The waitress said as she smiled and walked off.
"Enaa are you gonna eat that? If not..you know you can just give it to me and I'll give it to akito for you!" You said.
As soon as Ena heard that, she snapped out of her thoughts and stuffed a piece of the cheesecake in her mouth causing you to giggle.
Back at the Shinonome residence "Man..it's getting kinda late, I have to go home soon.." you frowned as you looked at Ena who was busy fixing her hair so she could take a picture with you. "Oh right!- I forgot to ask..Did you find any inspiration for your art?" You asked.
Ena froze for a moment, then continued to comb her hair, "Actually..I did!" She cheered.
"That's great! Soooo do you wanna tell me what it is or..?" You said. "That's a surprise!" She chuckled.
"Hey! No fairrr.." you playfully frowned.
Ena just giggled and pulled out her phone, joining your hands together.

You read the comments while giggling slightly until you checked the time.
"Ena! I have to go noww.." you frowned, "But you better tell me what your idea for your art piece is tomorrow!" You exclaimed.
"I'll think about it!" She exclaimed.
Of course she did have an amazing idea and it was your smile, of course. It is part of the best thing that ever happened to her which is you. <3.
