India: bestie you remember my cousin Toya right?

Kenya: oh yeah, she had that pretty little baby

Toya:smiles) girl she's big now, bout to turn 13 next week

Kenya: wow it's been that long since I seen you (shocked)

Toya:mhm, I had moved to California

Kenya: oh wow, you like it out there?

Toya: smiles) it's perfect

Damon: you want some more cider bae?

Toya: you two look so happy

Damon:we are (wrapping his arm around Kenya waist)

Toya: clears her throat ) that's good, I'm happy for you two

India:(looks at Toya and then Damon) y'all good?

Kenya:frowns) good question, y'all acting like something up

Toya: I don't think that should be discussed right now

Damon: I'm good, bae let's go dance (grabbing her hand)

Kenya:somebody better start talking (moves his hand)

Damon: nothing to talk about

Toya: oh really Damon? That's crazy cause it's a lot to talk about

Kenya: (frowns) wait a minute, how you know my husband ?

India: what's going on?

Toya: Imani is Damon's daughter. He rarely comes to visit. I've been doing this shit on my own

Kenya:( looks at Damon) you knew you had a baby?

Damon:(sighs) yeah I did

Kenya:(sighs) and you kept that from me. I've told you everything. I've always been honest with your ass and I gotta find out you have a daughter that you don't even take care of on our wedding day? What the fuck?(walks away)

Damon: you shouldn't came Toya

Toya: I wasn't tryna start nothing

Kenya pov: I'm not mad Damon has a daughter, she's about to turn 13 meaning she was 4 when he was locked up and we didn't even know each other yet. What I'm pissed off about is him not telling me about her and not taking care of her. He had me thinking I was the first person to have his baby. I felt special thinking I made him a father when I didn't. The rest of the night I put on a fake smile when really I just wanted to go lay down.

Few hours later:

Kenya: (walking up to Toya)we need to talk tomorrow. Meet me in the dinning area at 9

Toya: okay

Damon pov: me and Kenya left out the ballroom and went upstairs to our room. She didn't say anything to me at all. I watched her get undressed and then she went in the bathroom. I should've told her about my daughter.

15 minutes later :

Damon:can we talk?

Kenya: oh now you wanna talk?(cleaning her face)

Damon: I wasn't ready to be a father , Imani was born a few months before I got locked up

Kenya: shakes her head) I don't care about you having a daughter Damon. That doesn't bother me. What hurts is that I thought you trusted me? I told you all of my deepest secrets and you couldn't tell me you had a baby. We were friends for years before even dating and you kept that from me. Why ?

Damon:(sighs) I don't know why I kept that from you

Kenya: I thought I was special Dame, I thought I made you a father and I didn't ! Do you know how that makes me feel?

Damon: baby I'm sorry, I promise you I am

Kenya: what kind of man are you Damon? Why aren't you taking care of your baby?

Damon: sighs) I wasn't ready to be a father. Once I got locked up I pushed them outta my mind. Once I got out and we started dating, I didn't want nothing fucking that up

Kenya: have you even seen your baby Damon ? She's about to be 13

Damon: I've seen her twice

Kenya: wow two fucking times, she's a teenager now

Damon: sighs) I know, her birthday is next week

Kenya: you're gonna be in the little girls life if you wanna stay married to me do you got that? That baby didn't ask to be born and it damn sure ain't fair that she had to grow up without you. Get your shit together Damon and fast (walks out the bathroom)
