The next day:

Damon:she's beautiful (holding the baby)

Imani: thank you daddy, are you okay ?

Damon: holding back tears ) no, I hurts no lie. I stayed down in the morgue a while just holding her hand and talking to her. Imma miss her so much

Imani: have you called her family ?

Damon: Indy called them last night. I can't even face them, I know they hurting

(His phone buzzes)

Damon:(reads the text ) India says her brother and dad are here. Imma go down there I'll be back up later

Imani: okay

Damon pov: I handed the baby back to Mani and left out the room. I took the elevator down to the lobby and saw her dad and brother standing there.

Keith: Damon where's my daughter ?( tearing up) is she really gone?

Jacob: please tell us it's not true

Damon: I'm sorry y'all (tears fall) she's really gone

Jacob; what happened ?

Damon: she was leaving my daughter's baby shower and we heard gunshots I ran out there and she was laying on the ground. She died in my arms

Jacob: I wanna see my sister, the the funeral home get her?

Damon: no, they're doing her autopsy later today, I told them to wait until y'all got the chance to see her

Jacob pov: we followed Damon down the hall and to the morgue. My sister was my world. As kids we were super close and now she's gone. They opened the door and me and my dad walked in and the lady took us to the room. Ken laid on the table under the white sheet with only her head showing. I instantly broke down crying. She looked so peaceful. I picked up her hand and it was cold and stiff. She had a bullet hole on the side of her head. They cleaned her up though because it wasn't extremely bloody like I thought. I pulled the sheet back some and saw the other bullet holes in her chest. I felt so sick to my stomach, who could do this to my sister.

Keith: wow never thought I would see one of my babies go before me(tears fall) I love you lulu

Jacob: Rest In Peace sis( kisses her cheek) I know Gigi and papa are gone take good care of you up there

Toya: here, I got you some tea (handing him a cup)

Damon: thank you(takes it )

Toya:(sits down) how you holding up?

Damon:(sighs) I'm losing it, I don't know how to tell the kids, their mama never coming back. I miss her already, we been through so much and at the end of the day that was my wife.

Toya: how you feel, y'all just got divorced and now this happenes? It's tragic I can imagine

Damon: we aren't divorced, I ain't submit the paper. I felt we just needed a little break and that we would eventually work things out. Now we can't even do that(tears fall) man I just wish I could bring her back...
