just a week had passed since Eleven defeated the creature's from the upside down. when she defeated Vecna, El had noticed Max's mind was no longer empty yet she still hasn't woken up. So Lucas has been by her side the whole time so has El which is kinda getting on Mike's nerves since she hasn't been spending much time with him.
As for the others, Hopper and Joyce have gotten awfully close. Will has still been struggling with feelings Mike is oblivious to. Dustin has been hanging out with Eddie.
