It's now Saturday meaning Nancy has all day, all day with her thoughts- "Mike! do you wanna hang out today!?" she yelled down the stairs while brushing her hair. Mike looked up at her confused 'since when does she wanna hang out?' he thought "actually I'm hanging with Dustin and Will today" he noticed she kinda looked disappointed so he tried to be nice "why don't you spend today with Jonathan? I know if I was able to I'd definitely be hanging out with El right now" she had an odd look on her face she didn't forget Jonathan was her boyfriend, did she? of course not that's ridiculous!. "Umm yeah maybe I will, have fun Mike!" she finally replied "you too" he said walking out the door.

so Nancy dialed the Byers number and set up a date with Jonathan. dinner and a movie (back to the future).

*meanwhile with Robin*

'oh god I really like Nancy, this is gonna be Tammy Thompson all over again' Robin had thoughts like that on repeat going through her head. at first she tried to ignore them but she gave up on that cause she obviously can't.

"Robin can you come down here please!"

"coming mother!" Robin replied heading down the stairs.

when she got down there her mom said "it's Saturday"

"I'm aware" she replied, she hated how her mom could be so vague with her words yet she always expects her to understand them.

"don't give me sass"

"I wasn't I- i just"

her mother then just started speaking over her "it's Saturday so why aren't you with your boyfriend?, what's his name Steve?"

"Steve isn't my- never mind I think I will actually" she said wanting to get out of the house.

"Great! i need grand babies!" her mother said ecstatically

this really bothered Robin. why did she want grandkids instead of loving the kid she already has? but she said nothing and just left to visit Steve.

************

"Hey Nancy"

"Hey Jonathan"

he went in to kiss her but she went to hug him. leading to a really awkward encounter of him kissing her cheek as she hugged him.

they now started eating dinner. "So Nance.. how have you been?" Jonathan asked not knowing what else to say.

somehow "Nance" coming from his lips just didn't sound the same as a certain someone she's been hanging around lately. him saying it just sounded like anyone else, it didn't make her stomach explode with butterflies or red flush to her face. she took a moment to respond because she was thinking, she's been great lately. it's been so fun hanging out with- 'no this is about Jonathan Nancy' she thought.

"Nance?" he repeated

"Oh I've been fine, how about you?"

"good, I've missed you though Nance.. I feel like we haven't spent much time together lately"

she cringed at him saying "Nance" again but replied "I've missed you too"

they then went to see the movie and mainly focused on it instead of talking.

some time passed, the movie finished, and they had the same awkward encounter saying goodbye as they did saying hello. 'that was nice right? I mean nothing went wrong. maybe I can make this work' Nancy thought.

*meanwhile with Robin*

she arrived at Steve's house without letting him know she was coming. I mean they're best friends they show up uninvited all the time because they're best friends 'just best friends he's not my boyfriend, eww' Robin thought.

she knocked on his door but he didn't answer so she decided to go to his bedroom window.. which was a mistake because of what she saw. it was him and Eddie making out. 'oh great I already have to worry about people finding out about me, now I have to worry about him too' she thought although she wasn't surprised.

she then just went back home to take a shower so hopefully she could scrub her brain of what she just saw. but unfortunately for her, that's not how it works.

A/N sorry for the kinda abrupt ending, I couldn't think of how to end this chapter.
