"Bye Nance"

the two hugged goodbye and parted ways. but suddenly Nancy turned around and ran back to Robin.

Robin looked confused and asked "what?"

Nancy then replied "this" and then she ki-

"Nancy!!" she shot up out of bed when she heard Mike yell her name. he then busted through her room door and said "what are you doing?!"

"Uh I was sleeping" she replied annoyed

"You said you'd drive me to school! Plus you're gonna be late for work!"

"It's Saturday"

"It's Friday!"

"wha- oh shit" she mumbled the last part. "okay give me a minute"

Nancy dropped a annoyed Mike off at school then headed to work. she had to drive fast if she was gonna make it to work, she hated being late. especially now with the big story she was covering of the giant "earthquake" that happened less then a couple weeks ago.

she arrived just on time and started working on the story.

*this morning with Robin*

Robin woke up and started getting ready for work she then walked down stairs and was about to walk out the door.

"Good morning Robin" her mother said grumpily

"morning mom" she said as she started twisting the door handle

"you're going to work?" her mother suddenly asked

"yes like I always do.. why?"

"so you're only going to work correct?"

before Robin could even reply her mother started talking again.

"because I'd really rather you just come home after"

"are you saying I'm grounded?"

"no I'd just really rather you come home after"

"ok" Robin replied as she rolled her eyes and opened the door. knowing she was indeed grounded her mother just likes to gaslight her.

Robin's shift ended so she walked out and locked the door of family video behind her. she turned around and started walking but was looking down at the keys she was still holding to put them in her pocket, but then she suddenly bumped into someone. her and the person she bumped into fell to the ground.

Nancy was walking back home from work holding a draft of the paper she was working on, she was looking down at the paper when she felt someone bump into her and they both fell to the ground.

they both looked up and saw who they had bumped into. when Nancy looked up at Robin she had remembered the dream that's been pestering her thoughts all day, and red suddenly appeared on her cheeks. when Robin looked up at Nancy she had remembered that brief thought of hers from the other night (ok maybe it wasn't so brief) and she got butterflies.

"Nance I'm so sorry!" Robin said noticing the paper that Nancy was holding landed in the mud.

"It's ok I was planning to redo it anyway, my mind was.. somewhere else today" Nancy said pink cheeked.

"So what are you doing walking this way?" Robin asked

"walking back from work" Nancy replied

Robin just looked confused

"wait, did you seriously not know I work right down the street?" Nancy asked with a smirk

"I don't know I don't read the paper I'm not an old person" Robin said then the realization hit her "not that there's anything wrong with reading the paper! it's just I-"

"Robin calm down its fine" Nancy said almost laughing at how much Robin was swinging her arms around while explaining herself.

"well I better get home my mom will be upset if I don't get home in well, now" Robin said realizing the time "bye Nance!" Robin said waving as she ran away.

"Goodbye Robin" Nancy replied.
