Ronance/does that make us friends?

First Date

It's now Saturday it has been a couple days since the kiss. they decided their first step was to go on a official date.. well as much as they'd be able to in public. their plan was to recreate their first almost-kiss by seeing a movie, in the theater this time.

Steve was just sitting watching Robin struggle with her makeup as she got ready for her date.

"So you and Nancy are going on your first date huh? Don't screw it up"

"Why do you think I would screw it up!?"

"I don't know maybe you'll get all nervous and ramble or something"

"Wow thanks for the encouragement dingus"

Steve just started to chuckle "relax Buckley I'm sure you'll do great.. just don't ramble"

Robin just threw some makeup brush at him. so he left so she could finish getting ready in peace.

Nancy was just sitting doing her makeup perfectly as Mike stood there bugging her. at least he wasn't super depressed anymore so that's good, but god he was being annoying.

"Nancy please please drive me to Dustin's, it's important"

"Mike I already told you, you're just gonna have to ask mom or dad"

"But they said no"

"Then ride your bike"

"But nan-

"No."

"Ugh fine. where are you even going anyway?"

"Out with Robin"

"Isn't Robin and Steve's place on the way to Dustin's? can't you just drop me off?"

"I'm meeting her at the theater in the mall which is the opposite direction"

Mike just sighed

"but I will find time to take you to Dustin's-

Mike started to get his hopes up

-if you tell me why you were so depressed a few days ago."

His face dropped to an annoyed one and he left her room without a word. she just continued doing her makeup.

Nancy drove up to the mall and saw Robin standing by the entrance with a flower in hand. she parked and Robin quickly went over there and opened the car door for her.

"Oh what a gentlewoman" Nancy said with a cute chuckle before adding "is that for me?" gesturing to the flower

"Yeah uh I thought you'd appreciate the gesture" Robin said nervously "wait? that's dumb isn't it? you probably hate it. I'm sorry.."

Nancy quickly chimed in "that's not dumb at all silly, I love it" she then looked around and when she saw it was clear of anyone she leaned in and gave Robin a kiss on the cheek.

Robin just blushed and took her hand as they headed inside.

The movie was now over and neither one of them paid much attention to it. they were too focused on each other and the butterflies in their stomach's whenever they'd both reach in for popcorn and accidentally brush hands. or whenever there was a jumpscare and Nancy would cling to Robin. they got a few suspicious glances from people when Nancy would do that but nothing too bad. all together it was a great first date so far.

"Can I walk you to your car?" Robin asked

"Trying to get rid of me that fast?"

"No! no Nancy of course not. It's just it- I thought your mom didn't want you staying out late"

"Robin I was only joking- Nancy says while gently patting her shoulder- she'll be fine if I stay out a bit longer"

They decided to go for ice cream and just look in some shops.

They got to this one shop and Nancy found this dress she really liked. but she had trouble getting it on...

"Robin"

"Yeah?" she asks by the fitting room door

"Could you help me with this?"

"Uh yeah uh sure" she says nervously as she goes in to help.

Robin very nervously finished helping Nancy get the dress on.

"Wow" is all she's able to mutter

"How's it look?" Nancy nervously asks her

"Beautiful"

Next thing they know they're both leaning in and then making-out. until a knock hits the door. and an older womans voice came through. "Everything okay in there? I saw your friend go in, the mall will be closing soon"

'Shit' they both think to themselves. they completely forgot where they were.

"We're fine. I just needed her help with something. we'll be out in just a minute" they look at each other and almost giggle. that lady sure made things awkward.

Nancy decides to get the dress so they pay for it and leave.

Now they're heading back to their cars. "Thank you for a amazing first date Robin, I loved it" 'and you' she thinks to herself

"So did I" Robin says with a big happy smile.

They both look around realizing the parking lot is basically empty. so before leaving they both lean in and kiss goodbye, ending the night perfectly.
