Trigger Warning: Homophobic Slur, and mentions of sexism.
Robin is heading home with her mom after visiting Max. She thought she'd get to stay at least a little longer but nope. apparently her dad is home tonight and they're gonna have a "family dinner" together. although those usually always end in an argument that Robin somehow always gets pulled into.
Robin, Melissa, and Nancy had all drove to the hospital together. the ride was silent and awkward but at least they got to look forward to seeing Max. so the ride wasn't total hell although the side eye Melissa kept giving them was. even though the ride there was bad however, it wasn't as bad as the way back. Melissa didn't talk at all she just had this coldness radiating from her. and Robin was anxious about the dinner given how those usually end. and for good reason...
*with Nancy*
She was in her room just waiting for the half-scolding she was gonna get from Karen. although that wasn't the only thing on her mind. she currently had 3 different things occupying her mind, the first was of course Max. she was happy she was awake. but then there was Mike.. he's been in his room upset ever since they got back from the hospital. and not just his normal grumpy irritable demeanor. this was different, he seemed almost numb. he was hardly talking and he was laying in his bedroom. although she was worried about her brother the biggest thing on her mind was Robin. they had really almost kissed what does that mean? does she really have feelings for Robin? it would seem so.. but does that mean she's a lesbian? But she's had feelings for Jonathan.. Jonathan her boyfriend. she doesn't have time to go into that right now because here Karen is with that scolding.
"Nancy Wheeler, what were you doing at Robin's house?" Nancy doesn't know what to say. she couldn't just say 'oh about to kiss Robin and probably end up making out' so she just replies "hanging out" Karen then says "well I assumed as much young lady, but I wish you would've at least told me" Nancy then says "it's not like it was a secret, I walked out the front door" she ended up saying it in kinda a 'duh' way. which earned a glare from Karen. she hasn't acted like that in awhile she's been trying to be super mature. but something about Robin had rubbed off on her, and she didn't hate it. it helped her relax. Karen then sighed and began to speak "look if it was up to me I'd of let you go, but you know Melissa can be strict. plus I mean I like Robin I do, I'm glad you found a female friend but.. she was grounded for a reason, do you really think she's the best influence?" Karen asked concerned. she really did like Robin she seemed like she made Nancy smile which she hasn't seen enough of lately. but she also noticed Nancy breaking rules and being too.. just too much. not as quiet. and in this day and age a woman needs to be quiet and composed if she wants to make it anywhere. she has to work twice as hard. she saw a future for Nancy so she'd be lying if she said she didn't think this behavior could mess that up at all. Karen's words got Nancy thinking. at first she was gonna go right to defending Robin, but then she got to thinking.. is Robin a bad influence?
