*earlier with Robin*

Robin and Melissa walk through the door and are greeted by Richard. "What's this I see? the most beautiful women in all the land" 'he always does this, is a total jerk and then tries to win us over with some generic complement' Robin thought to herself. but at least he wasn't drunk. well, not yet anyway.

"Aww you're so sweet dear" Melissa says giving him a kiss on the cheek. of course she bought it.

"Where are you off to?" Richard asks as he sees Robin heading up to her room. "Homework" she replies continuing to head up to her room without another word. "Since when does she do homework?" Richard says chuckling.

Robin though wasn't doing homework. She knew she needed a distraction from Nancy and that would be far too boring to work. So she tried other things, watching a film but that didn't work because it reminded her of today with Nancy the same day she likely ruined their friendship, then she tried sketching but she kept messing up the lines so that just annoyed her, she even tried doing her fricking makeup. but nope nothing worked, there was only one thing on her mind and that was Nancy.

Robin was eventually called down for dinner and her father had already had a couple drinks. "Hello my little bird" he says. he hasn't called her that since she was like 6 so he must already be a little tipsy. "Hey dad"

They're about half way through dinner and Richard has been drinking more. He's not quite wasted but he's not super far from it either. "So your mother Told mE about Some dare. What wAs that abouT?" 's-she told him?' Robin was nervous like really nervous. She knew her mother only believed her about the whole dare thing because that's what she wanted to believe. but her father on the other hand currently has no filter.

"Uh yeah, Steve dared us. it was nothing"

"NotHing!" he slammed his fist on the table. why's he getting so hostile already?.

"Richard please, she already told you as did I. it was just a dare" Melissa says trying to defuse the situation.

"WaS it? Because I'm NOt so sure!" he's definitely wasted now.

"Dear please sit do-

"Open youR eyes Melissa! does She havE a boyfriend? No. HaS she evEn ever MeNtioned a crush? No. I MeAn Have you seen her FUCKING shoes?"

"Oh would you please shUt Up! I'm trying to spEak with my daughter!"

he then looks Robin dead in the eyes and says "are you a dyke Robin?"

Melissa then stands up and says "Richard that is enough!"

Robin sits there, pure fear in her eyes. And before she even has time to think or process what just happened. She runs out the door, no destination in mind. just knowing she couldn't stay there in that place anymore. that broken home. So she just runs...
