"Wh-what were you two doing?" Melissa asks her voice laced with anger. as the phone is still ringing downstairs.

They stayed silent thinking of a response. They themselves didn't entirely know. "Well?! Answer me!"

"We Uh-" Robin starts

"It was a dare!" Nancy chimes in

Melissa looks confused "excuse me?" she asks

"a dare. we were dared to kiss" Nancy replies

"Oh really? well who dared you?" Melissa asks not quite believing it.

Then Robin chimes in "it was ding- I mean Steve"

Melissa then sighs almost in relief "of course it was. well don't always listen to dares. girls don't kiss girls. and this conversation isn't over yet she's not supposed to be here" she lectures then sighs again "I need to get that" she says as the phone continues to ring. she walks out about to shut the door but instead leaves it open.

Nancy and Robin sit there not knowing what to say but then Nancy is about to say something "we should ta-" but then Melissa yells up to them "girls come down here! your friend Max is awake!"

*later with Max*

Everyone is now in her hospital room. El is by her side holding her hand as Mike is shooting dagger glares at both her and Lucas. everyone is just asking her a million questions all at once until the doctor chimes in "everyone please, give her some breathing room. one question at a time. you're lucky I am even letting you all stay in here."

They let Dustin go first "did you see anything while you were out? or was it just like endless darkness? I mean I know you saw El sometimes but like hardly right?" Max glances at El then responds "yeah.. pretty much nothing". Everyone else just asks her some questions and say how happy they are to see her. until the doctor asks them to leave to give her some space but let's El stay since Max asked.

As everyone is walking out Mike stays close to Lucas then asks "can I talk to you?" trying to hold back his anger "sure?" he replies sensing that Mike was angry. the two walk into a empty hospital room then Mike suddenly pushes Lucas against the wall and looks as if he's ready to punch him. "What the hell man!" Lucas says angrily. "How long?!" Mike asks upset and Lucas is confused "how long what??" "you and Eleven! how long!?". "What?!" Lucas is still confused "Don't play dumb I heard her basically confessing her love to you!!". "what are you talking about, when?" Lucas asks "when?! so that's happened multiple times?" Mike raises his fist but Lucas quickly replies "no, no! I mean when did you hear this". "In the hospital just a few hours before Max woke up" Mike explains. all Lucas says is "Oh" as he's seeming to realize something. "I wasn't even in there, I was back home visiting my family, go ahead ask Erica" Lucas finishes saying. Mike believes him then looks confused "but that would mean the only other person in there was... Max".
