today is the day all of Max's friends visit her in the hospital. It's a two person minimum and Lucas and El have been hogging all the visits for themselves, they wanna be the one's there when she wakes up.. if she wakes up.
Nancy was driving Robin there with her. they just sat in the car in silence. In a nice peaceful silence like they didn't even need words, although it didn't last long when Robin started rambling on about her new current obsession, skateboarding. She got into it in honor of Max, the two were never very close but she thought that it might make her feel closer to their hospitalized friend somehow. And she actually ended up loving it! It made her feel so free like when she was on the board all of her worries just passed her by.
and even though Nancy didn't want to admit it she had grown to love Robin's ramblings.
"Sorry am I rambling? I am aren't I?" Robin said fast and slightly embarrassed
"Yes.. but it's okay. I'm glad you're enjoying your new hobby"
the peaceful silence started again until they pulled up to the hospital.
"Hi Nance" Steve and Jonathan said simultaneously while staring each other down
"Hi" Nancy said back kinda dismissively. She didn't mean to be rude but they've been bugging her all week.
"Hi boys" Robin said with a smirk while following Nancy into the hospital. She was proud of Nance for subtly putting them in there place with just one word, not really the word itself but the tone it was said in. This was a time to visit Max, there was no time for any of those two's drama.
Dustin & Will were the first two to visit Max. meanwhile the other's were just waiting for their turn. everyone was sitting there quietly except for Mike who was pastoring El.
Everyone had now visited Max except for Nancy & Robin who were heading in there now.
"Opp sorry ladies, visiting hours are over" the nurse told the two. they looked disappointed but understood, it had actually taken a long time for everyone to visit her given how many of them there were.
"but you two could always come back tomorrow" the Nurse said with a sympathetic look.
"Yeah okay, I think we will" Nancy said giving the nurse a slight smile to be polite.
The nurse left and Nancy turned towards Robin "we should probably come visit early tomorrow so this doesn't happen again. do you want to sleep over again to make it easier?" Nancy asked
"My mother would probably kill me if I was gone two nights in a row" Robin replied
Nancy just looked disappointed
"Well I'm gonna die eventually, why not" Robin said since she could tell she disappointed Nancy with her original answer
Nancy immediately looked happy and a smile plastered across her face
"What?" Robin asked with a smirk
"I'm just happy you're my best friend" Nancy replied. a smile still across her face.
"Yeah me too" Robin replied.
