- This means, after the measurement, if the lambda result is obtained, the quantum state is then postulated to collapse to—, - Arūna wrote down a long formula on the board.

What goddamn rocket science is this?

- Yes, Akari?

Akari lowered her hand & looked down at her notebook, slowly clicking her pen:
- Wait, so about the thing you said before. That thing, when it's finished being measured, the result with be one of its eigun— eigan— eGUNVA—

- Eigenvalues. - Sora finished.

- Yeah, that, with a probability given by the Born rule?

Arūna snapped her fingers:
- Correct.

Someone else raised their hand.

Arūna quickly finished writing whatever strange formula that seemed like she'd pulled out of her ass in a second, continuing with the explanation. The girl turned around again, her slight smile fading once she saw Oikawa's hand raised again.

The girl tilted her hand & rested the back of her hand on her hip.

- Yes, Oikawa? - she suppressed a sigh.

- What does the— the probability density function thing mean?

The sudden tension in Arūna's chest disappeared.

- Good question.

Oikawa hid a proud smile by looking down at his notebook. He admired a new doodle he'd finished just a few seconds ago.

The guy attentively listened to Arūna's explanation, although her words went through one ear & out the other. Whatever Oikawa had actually processed was lost somewhere deep in the depths of his mind.

Oikawa looked up from his notebook, his eyes landing on the small part of her collarbone, revealed by Arūna's unbuttoned buttons near her neck.

- Do you understand?

- Huh?

He quickly looked away, finding Arūna's eyes gazing back at his.

- Ah, yes. Thank you, Arū'chan.

Oikawa wondered whether any of his perfect features had captivated Arūna, even if it was just for a second. However, it didn't seem like she stared anywhere besides his eyes, always holding eye contact.

Oikawa looked down at the desk again. His eyes slowly grazed past his open textbook as he clicked his pen, doodling away while closely listening to Arū'chan speak.

He'd noticed her voice had a reminiscent feeling of dark cocoa, though not too dark to turn bitter. Oikawa liked that idea. The taste had perfectly combined with her dark, bittersweet chocolate brown hair & golden honey eyes, which seemed to resemble the setting sun in the sky on Oikawa's left.

Oikawa turned towards the window, catching a glimpse of the blazing sun that hid behind a few light grey clouds as though they were see-through curtains. Tooru could see the sun's beam in gaps within the shadows. Sunlight reflected off the windows of the school, the mirror above the sink in the classroom &... Arūna.

Arūna's white dress shirt wasn't tucked in, covering most of her skirt, while her tie hung somewhat low from her neck, just a bit lower than where her collarbone was.

In her left hand, Arūna held a dark & thick purple notebook. Oikawa could see small orange, red or yellow bookmarks attached to particular pages.

Once the girl would face the board, he was able to see her messily scribbled notes on the pages, highlighted sentences with a pastel green marker & a few personal comments like, "the teacher doesn't know how to work the projector", or "someone dropped their phone in the trashcan, Ken should've seen his face" written in relatively prominent letters.
