- For the Planck constant — its definition won't pop up in any test, at least not from my experience. But it's still important to know what it is and what it does since the Planck constant plays into other concepts a lot. Write this down.
Oikawa moved his pen away from a shitty Iwaizumi doddle he'd drawn on Arūna's notebook, attentively waiting for the definition.
It had been about an hour & a half into their study sessions & Arūna could feel Oikawa's mood change little by little. It made her calm state shift as well.
She began to slowly speak:
- The Planck constant is a fundamental physical constant of foundational importance in quantum mechanics.- Foundational importance?...
- In quantum mechanics. - Arūna sipped some of her warm tea. She gazed out the window, glancing at the people walking by.
She soon found her eyes looking back at Tooru's.
Tooru had his face resting on the back of his hand as he stared at Arūna in an almost loving yet mischievous way. He grinned a little before slightly leaning his hand, placing his hand on hers. Arūna immediately pulled her hand away with an uncomfortable expression on her face, having Oikawa's face shift within a second. He bit his lip, looking down at the table.
- ...Sorry. - Oikawa muttered.
- Ask before doing so next time, please.
- So, then, may I? - Oikawa slowly suggested, slowly putting his hand out to the girl. Arūna hesitantly nodded, making Oikawa grin again.
- I can't hear you, Rūna'chan~. - Oikawa spoke softly, almost letting out a small laugh at the end of his sentence. - Use your words now, darling.
Oikawa began drawing circles with his index finger on the back of Arūna's hand. His gaze had never broken from Arūna's emotionless glare, making the girl look away first & perhaps shy back to staring at her notes.
- Do you think I could ever power over someone with just my voice?
- Oikawa, we need to study. - Arūna stated, glancing up at him.
- Come on, answer the question, Rūna'chan.
Arūna rolled her eyes a bit, but possibly enough for Oikawa to see before she looked back at him. The girl wondered if perhaps engaging in this little conversation would make Oikawa study just a tad more so they could successfully finish the sessions.
- I guess I doubt you'd have power over anyone.
Oikawa's smile widened as he licked his lips.
- Is that really true, Arūna?
The girl's eyes instinctively darted towards Oikawa's instead of looking at her hand that Oikawa had been holding at the sound of him saying her name. She'd become so used to everyone referring to her with nicknames that her actual name now sounded like a lost treasure. Arūna looked away.
- Has someone become a little shy now? Oh, Rūna'chan, don't ignore me, please. Haven't your parents taught you it's rude to ignore your date?
Hold up—
Arūna's gaze instantly returned to Oikawa's fixed stare on her. The girl's eyes widened a little for a second before returning to normal. Since when was this a date?
The girl slowly retrieved her hand from Oikawa's gentle grasp before leaning on the back of her seat & resting her head on the rim of her sofa-like stool. She sighed, remembering the situation she tried to ignore.
