Chapter 12

Chapter 12: Date Night (cont.), A Change in Plans??? Girls Day Out + 1

I went in the bathroom to take a shower. I take my shirt off and look at my scars and bruises in the mirror.

There were three places that you could see where they had to cut me open to get to my whole rib cage, the biggest cut being where my right lung is, well, was. I don't know what they put in place of it. I'm still very bruised, but at least the stitches are out and I can take a normal shower again.

I strip down the rest of the way and turned on the water. I wait a minute to let the water heat up. Afterwards, I stepped in and let the warm water pound against me. It felt relaxing.

About what I thought was ten minutes, Chase knocks on the bathroom door. "You ok there, Luke? You've been in there for an hour."

Really? An hour? "Yeah, I'm fine. I was just letting the water run down my fur."

"You need anything?"

"Now that you mentioned it, I forgot to grab a towel. Could you get one for me?"

A few minutes later, Chase entered the bathroom and told me the towel was in front of the shower. He then shut the door behind him on the way out.

I wrap up my shower a couple minutes later. Fuck! I forgot to ask him if he could grab me a change of clothes. I dry off and wrap the towel around my waist. I head out of the bathroom.

"I'll be in my room," I say to Chase as I walk by.

"Alright," he replied, "I should get ready myself."

I couldn't see, but I heard a door open and close. I put on some nice (not church like, more formal) clothes and sit on the couch.

A few minutes later, Chase comes out of the bathroom already ready to go.

"Well don't you look sexy as ever," I say to Chase.

"What? You like what you see?" He asked, showing himself off.

"Yes, yes I do. Very much."

"Never knew you were such a pervert."

"Hey, I got a few days of things I gotta make up on."

He laughs and shakes his head. "You are lucky I love you."

"Yup, I am the lucky one. I get one hell of a boyfriend who loves me as I love him."

"Yes, yes you do." He kissed me on my forehead and headed to his room. He left his door open and I tried so hard not to look.

"Um, Chase. You kind of left the door open."

"Does it matter? We are the only two who live here and we are dating. I don't mind if I change in front of you."

"I also imagine you would have to change in front of teammates in the locker room. Speaking of living, what are we gonna do about the extra rooms?"

"I'd leave them, just in case we get new roommates."

"I suppose that's true."

I highly doubt we would be getting any new roommates anytime soon, but you never really know. Crazier things have happened before.

Chase came out a few minutes later. "You ready to head out, Luke."

"Ready when you are."

Before we set off, we had to make sure we got everything together. We were just about to head out to dinner, until I got a phone call from Danae.
