(Hey guys. I'm back and able to write again. I want to thank NerdiePikachu_ again for writing for me as I recover. Before y'all ask, I didn't get my concussion by getting hit by a defender. Chapter 14: The Guy That Never Learns

"Are you sure it was that prick?" I asked while texting Stacy what happened.

"Who else would hit their teammate in the head and proceed to laugh about it?" Luke said to me.

"He does have a point there," Samantha said.

"Was Chase knocked out when he got hit?" Simba asked.

"No, I don't think I was. I remember being extremely dizzy and I felt my head throbbing. And to be honest, it still is."

"What other symptoms has he shown?" I ask.

"All except nausea," Renee said, "He has a moderate concussion and is expected to miss two weeks. We plan to keep him here until the major symptoms like headache, dizziness, and balance problems die down."

"I didn't see him coming," Chase said.

"Shouldn't Lucas have been arrested for what he did to Luke?" I asked.

"He was, but got bailed out. Coach kept him on the team. I don't know why," Chase said.

"Well that's pretty stupid," Samantha said.

Stacy then came into the room. "OMG! IS HE OKAY?"

Chase winced in pain. "Could you keep it down please?"

She put her paws over her muzzle. "Sorry," she said with a whisper.

"You can talk normally, but please, no shouting."

"Again, sorry. I came as soon as I got the text."

"Just when I get out of the hospital, he had to put you in here," Luke said.

"We are keeping him in the room tonight and check his symptoms tomorrow. If they show improvement, we will let him go home, but he can't go to practice or classes for the next week," Renee said.

"As soon as I recover, he's gonna get what he deserves," Chase said.

"All for what? Just so he can find a way to put you back in here. Face it, he's not going to learn. Please, don't pointlessly get yourself hurt, for my sake," Luke said.

Chance gave a menacing growl, then took a deep breath, and mumbled a few things. "Fine, for you."

Luke gave him a tight hug. I know he still had tears streaming from his eyes. I'll admit, it's tough seeing the one you love get injured. I remember how Chase reacted to Luke being injured.

"Chase, if I see him, I'll give him a good punch for you," Simba said.

"Don't!" I snap back, "Luke is right. He isn't going to learn. I don't need you pointlessly getting yourself hurt either."

"Who is this Lucas in the first place?" Samantha asked.

"He's an asshole. He never liked me. Never has, never will. Now, he knows I'm dating Luke and he's trying to use that to his advantage."

"Has it worked?"

"We haven't been to our classes long enough to notice. I was taking care of Luke first, then I have to stay home now and we now have to take care of each other."
