3rd person Pov
A lone pelican flew through the night sky of New Alexandria avoiding the fire and smoke coming from some of the buildings while the rain hit the hull of the pelican. In the open rear door of the Pelican sat Nobel six, Y/n and his canine friend Balto who was laying at his feet looking at the burning city with no words exchanged just a silent trip (A/n: We knew what was about to happen What were about to do. Did we have any doubts? Any private treacherous thoughts ? Perhaps but no one didn't say a word. I'm sorry I just had to)
After staring out for a long time the three of them stood up while the Pelican slows down above a rooftop with two Falcons parked on top. They step out and meet up with Carter while the Pelican flies away
"Your report will have to wait, Lieutenant. The Covenant are jamming all comms to Command. Kat needs you and Y/n's help running a counter-op." Said carter.
The two Spartans, Y/n and Balto walk to the Falcons, with one already taking off.
"It's good to have you back." Carter said.
"Sorry we came alone." Noble Six said
"Make him proud." Carter said before Y/n spoke up.
"Sir I would like Balto to stay with you while Six and I take care of this mission." Y/n said looking at Balto who was sitting by his side looking up at him.
"I'll take care of him." Carter said before Y/n Petted Balto's head and told him to go with him which Balto does before Y/n and Nobel Six walk to the Falcon. Nobel Six hops into the cockpit while Y/n mans the guns.
"Get your wings back on you two. You're flying this Falcon." Kat said over the coms. Six fires up the Falcon and lifts off. A burning skyscraper nearby collapses.
"Covenant have deployed comm jammers in high-rises across the city. We can't hear Holland, and he can't hear us. When I find them, you hit them - hard." Kat said over the com.
"Copy that." Y/n said while he scanned the sky for enemy hostiles.
"Don't fall in love with my voice. The closer you are to the jammer, the worse comms are going to get." Kat said while Y/n chuckled.
"I'm gonna miss that sweet voice of your Kat." Y/n said in a joking manner.
Y/n's Pov
I kind of felt a little sad leaving Balto out of this mission but I knew he was in good hands and Noble Leader will take care of him until I get back. I pushed the thoughts out of my head and focused on the mission scanning the sky for any hostile craft before I heard Nobel two over the coms.
"Stand by... One of our Trooper squads went silent after the hospital got hit. I'll mark the location. Complete their mission, and take out that jammer." Kat said over the coms. Nobel Six flies the Falcon towards the hospital and lands on a open pad and the both of us exit the craft and slowly go inside. Once we inside we where engaged with a small squad of Grunts and Brutes supported by a creature I never seen before. After fighting through them the both of us reach the hospital's concourse.
"Contacts, two at ten o'clock! I'll hold them off until you get to the other side!" Said a trooper
"Cover that doorway! Move, move, move!" said another trooper. The troopers where under attack and cornered by some brutes.
