I was inspired by Fireslash97's Halo X Male odst reader. so I thought might make my own. This story takes places during Reach all the way up to Halo 4. cause we don't speak about Halo 5.
A Grunt Minor was paces on an open platform. While other Grunts were sleeping around him. He stops as he hears jets and sniffs the air, and yelps when Pelican rises up from the chasm in front of him making him scream and run towards the door.

"This is as far as I can go." said Foehammer over the com.
"Roger that, we'll be able to find our way to the Control Center from here." said Cortana over the coms.
"Good luck. Foehammer out." said Foehammer over the com while The Pelican hovers at the edge of the platform. John, Y/n and Balto get out of the pelican just when the door that the grunt ran through opened up. Y/n was quick and tossed a plasma grenade inside the door and when it went off several elites and grunts got blown up before the three of them headed inside the door walking around a series of circular rooms and begin clearing them of Covenant watching each other backs while going through another door.
"The Covenant presence here is stronger than I anticipated. They seem to have the entire region secured." said Cortana. The three off them walked through another door to find themselves on a bridge.
"Snow?" Y/n asked.
"Interesting... the weather patterns here seem natural, not artificial. I wonder if the ring's environment systems are malfunctioning... or if the designers wanted the installation to have inclement weather." said Cortana right before a Pelican Dropship flies over the bridge and the Covenant forces on the bridge open fire on it.
"This is Fire Team Zulu requesting immediate assistance from any UNSC forces. Does anyone copy? Over." said Fire teams Zulu Sergeant over the coms.
"I didn't think there were any human forces left on this part of the ring." said Cortana.
