I was inspired by Fireslash97's Halo X Male odst reader. so I thought might make my own. This story takes places during Reach all the way up to Halo 4. cause we don't speak about Halo 5.
A Slipspace rupture appears in the darkness space and from it was Regret's Carrier comes followed by some debris from New Mombasa and the UNSC In Amber Clad close behind. Inside the In Amber Clad Commander Keyes lurches forwards with a grunt.
"Report!" said Commander Keyes.
"Both engine cores have spun to zero. We're drifting." said the ships operations officer
"Archer pods are cold. I'll need to re-key the system." said the weapons officer.
"Do it, and find out where we are." said Commander Keyes meanwhile in the HEV pod bay Johnson was smoking a smashed up cigar. Y/n, Balto and the Master Chief where also in HEV pods. (a/n: lets for story wise say there was a HEV pod big enough for Balto and Y/n)
"Sorry for the quick jump, Sergeant, Y/n. You in one piece?" asked Commander Keys over.
"I'm good. Chief?" asked Johnson
Cortana: We're fine." Replied Cortana
"Still in one piece." said Y/n
"Ma'am, there's an object. Coming into view now." said the communications officer.
"Cortana, what exactly am I looking at?" asked Commander Keyes staring in amazement out the view port while the ship flys closer to the ring.

"Say what?!" asked Johnson while choking on his cigar.

"So this is what my father found...I thought Halo was some sort of superweapon." said Commander Keyes gazing out at Halo
Cortana: "It is. If activated, this ring will cause destruction on a galactic scale." said Cortana
"And we can't have that. Already been close to that shit before." said Y/n.
