I was inspired by Fireslash97's Halo X Male odst reader. so I thought might make my own. This story takes places during Reach all the way up to Halo 4. cause we don't speak about Halo 5.
"We're coming in too fast!" Said Cortana while the Bumblebee careering Master Chief, Balto, Y/n and a few marines that escaped the Pillar of Autumn flies over a cliff, trailing smoke as the craft heads towards the ground at an alarming rate.

Bumblebee Pilot: "Damn! Air brake failure! They blew too early! I'm losin' her. Brace for impact!" said The Bumblebee pilot before the lifeboat violently crash
"Chief? Chief! Can you hear me? At last! Are you alright? Can you move?" asked Cortana insode chiefs helmet while Chief looked around and stepped out of the lifeboat.
Cortana: (quietly) "The others... the impact. There's nothing we can do." said Cortana quietly until there was a bark and Balto ran out of the lifeboat along with Y/n shaking his head trying to get it together.
"Another happy landing." Y/n said while Balto licked his hand.
"Y/n are you okay?" asked Cortana.
"Yeah just fine but something tells me where no In Kansas anymore." Y/n said checking his pistol and assault rifle ammo and grabbing any grenades he can find from the dead marines.
"Let's go." said Y/n. The three of them started to walk away from the crash pod.
Cortana: "Warning! I've detected multiple Covenant drop ships on approach. I recommend moving into those hills. If we're lucky, the Covenant will believe that everyone aboard this lifeboat died in the crash." said Cortana. The three of them cross the bridge
Cortana: "I'm reading thousands of types of flora. The ring's ecosystem is incredibly sophisticated. Alert! Covenant Drop ship inbound! They must be looking for survivors. I recommend immediate evasion!" said Cortana right before a Covenant drop ship arrives, accompanied by two Banshees.
"We don't have to deal with them if we keep moving." Y/n said while they evade dropped Covenant troops and Banshees, and proceeds through a canyon.
