I was inspired by Fireslash97's Halo X Male odst reader. so I thought might make my own. This story takes places during Reach all the way up to Halo 4. cause we don't speak about Halo 5.
"The Covenant network is in absolute chaos! From what I've been able to piece together, their leadership ordered all ships to abandon Halo when they found the Flood, but they were too late. The Flood overwhelmed this cruiser and disabled it. The Covenant are terrified the Flood will repair the ship and use it to escape from Halo. They've sent in a strike team to neutralize the Flood and repair the ship for immediate departure. I've got a good lock on Captain Keyes' CNI transponder signal! He's alive! And the implants are intact! There's some interference from the cruiser's damaged reactor. I'll bring us in as close as I can." said Cortana teleporting The master Chief into the end of a corridor in the cruiser but was teleported upside down making him land hard on his back with a loud thud.

"Ohh... I see, the coordinate data needs to be— " said Cortana before The Master Chief whacks the side of his head with his fist standing up.
"Right. Sorry." said Cortana. The Master Chief walked down the hallway several meters before he heard the captain's voice on the com.
"Chief... Don't be a fool...Leave me..."said the Weaking Captain Keyes.
"Captain? Captain?! I've lost him..." said Cortana while Chief was trying to find a way into the bridge.
"The damage caused by the crash and the Flood have sealed-off all nearby access ways to the control room. We should find another way in." said Cortana. Making his way through several hallways the Master Chief reached a hanger with a large hole in the floor just past the door, blocking his way.
"Analyzing damage... This hole was caused by some kind of explosive. Very powerful if it tore through a ship's hull. All I detect down there are pools of coolant. We should continue our search somewhere else." said Cortana before Chief jumped down the hole when flood started to swarm into the hall. With a loud splash The Master Chief landed in the coolant and started to fight his way through covenant and flood.
Meanwhile back at Alpha Base Y/n was being checked out by one of the medics. Luckily Balto had made it safely and was by his side for he was a loyal and strong wolf dog and with the proto type shield he was double protected. he wasn't going let anything happen to his master.
"Your all set and ready to go sir." said the medic.
"Thanks doc." said Y/n getting off the table and stretched his arms and petted Balto's head.
"Good boy." said Y/n before he heard loud banging on the outside doors. The flood was trying to break their way through. The place they where in was set up with machine gun turrets guarding the entrance and on them was a marine.
"What is the sit-rep?" asked Y/n.
"We managed to get a few weapons inside this area the base was completely over run with those things sir. A marine squad went to find another way out but we haven't reported in." said one of the marines.
