Blaze:

The foundation of your pain, usually finds itself linking to an event that happened in the past. The agony that reaches you as you look back on how things once were, could etch itself onto you if you stare for long. Because the dark emotions that hover over traumatic memories are powerful and will rebirth if you give it the strength to. It took me a long time to realize I was in a stage that only permitted me to dwell upon the negatives that appeared in my life, but once I detected the positives, a new light shined. And this light guided me to the person I am today.

I was aware through the casual conversation I was currently having with Rain, the topic of the past would surface itself. I was prepared, my opinions were bold in my mind and my intentions were only for her to feel better about how things happened. I was certain though, through the shakiness in her recent movements, she was nervous.

Rain sat in the quiet café, her fingers breaking up the steam that left her small mug. Her green eyes transformed into a darker shade as she stared at the black table. A sigh flicked itself from my mouth, grasping her attention.

It appeared as a flame ignited itself in her eyes. "I know you and Luke kissed."

"How-"

"I saw, I went up after Luke." Rain explained. "But, that's not the point, at this moment."

"Okay." I managed to say though the shock I felt.

"I want to talk about that night you left." Rain stated. "I feel this need for my closure to know exactly what happened."

I exhaled, aware she deserved it. "I was planning to leave before we even went there." Viewing her sadden expression I said, "I wasn't healthy, my patterns remand repeating themselves and I knew I was hurting a lot of people. Luke just wasn't loving that concept, so he acted violently on it."

Rain shook her head in dismay. "Why did you never call me, that letter you left for me had me more confused. I had to run up to the hotel room to find Luke drinking, Michael yelling as there manger and him were fixing the room and Ashton cleaning up a bloodstain on the floor. It was horrifying."

"What happened with Luke, why did he fall which resulted to his memory lost?" I voiced the question that lingered on my tongue.

Rain looked at the ground, the scene hurting her. "He, he well, he wasn't exactly kind. Luke was getting himself really drunk, everything was going wrong. His fist were red and he kept mumbling how he hated you. Then, Calum entered the room, his face flushed and eyes wide but teary. Calum then proceeded to scream at Luke. Luke was unresponsive to Calum's harsh words so Calum lunged towards him."

"Rain y-"

"Calum is responsible for Luke's injury." Rain continued. "Luke was too intoxicated to support himself and somehow the boys managed to bring the fight to the hallway where they reached the staircase. Calum punched, too hard if you ask me, and Luke didn't grab the railing fast enough."

"He cracked, Calum cracked." I concluded.

"Exactly, we all did eventually."

I sighed.

"But Luke, he's still cracking." Rain explained. "As your love you two shared began to fade, so did he."
